It's really sad his delusions lead him to such a lonely, painful end. His rantings were entertaining to read, no doubt, but it sucks that he didn't have the strength to take his meds or seek medical help, his family had very few options for trying to get him help, and society basically left alone with his mental illness to the point it contributed to his death.

The sad truth of modern psychiatry is they shove meds at you, put you on the street, and if you don’t take your meds it’s not their problem.
 
I had to read the thread for context, but I am sad to see we have lost one of our schitzo cows. Godspeed, Stoneman. May you fight the glownigger menace with Terry in the great beyond.

I'm sure there's no universal progression but this kind of limb infection seems to make a suffer's world smaller and smaller- from their abode to one room to the bed (or floor, etc). It's sad even for those who have family as it ends up being a question of life or limbs by the time it gets that bad. Most people who get infections like that don't get better because they've got global problems (vascular, etc), it's just staving things off a bit anyway. And some people are better off dead than having legs sawed off.

It's not pretty... but in some ways it's not the worst, either. Once the septic shock sets in he probably had (even more) delirium and coma relatively quickly, followed by death soon after without advanced medical care. It is sad that it may have happened alone, though.

Dying alone and in pain. With nobody to help. Truly a nightmare vision. Let's hope his brains delusions kicked in at the end and his final hours were spent fighting the Canadian secret service in glorious battle.

It is compassion.
Because locking them up in an asylum until they find what mix of medicines make you function normally again is cruel.

Fellows like him always make me wonder how many others are out there without an internet presence, going unnoticed and eventually unmourned...at least a few folks here worried for him. :( RIP Warrior.
 
I'm certain that in that final confrontation, those canadian terror soldiers, royals and the pope lost a hundred of their own before they could bring down our stalwart Stone-Man-Warrior.

From the other side of the pond in a basement bunker besieged by lions, farewell and godspeed - I sincerely wish it had ended differently :(
