People who don't clean up after themselves. Throw away your trash, sweep up your brass at the range, and put weights back on the rack when you're done with them. The world is not your trashcan, and other people are not your butlers.

It's a bad sign when you see trash everywhere. It means there is no social contract, no sense of community. I've been to places in the Bronx where there's dogs turds every few feet.

Grown women putting on an UwU cutesy little girl voice. Unless you are voice acting, talk like a grown ass woman. I've been popping into RubberRoss' egg stream and everytime I hear Hackerling speak, just...ugh.

Journalists have a very low reputation and so they try to create a separate and more legitimate class. The worst part is that people are buying it.

I get basically all my news from message boards at this point.

I can't guess what sewer the boomers are getting their news from.

Media that claims the old "small town bad, big city good" shit. I don't wanna hear it and it makes it more annoying when I think about how most media comes from big city buttwipes.

Seriously. The only major city I've ever been to is Boston (simply because I live close to it) and that was enough for me. I could go the rest of my life without ever "experiencing" New York or L.A. and not feel a bit of regret.

NYC is fine as long as you avoid Manhattan. Any time I go there outside of work it ends in some kind of disaster. Gunfights, propositions for sex, phones getting snatched...

I like New York but you couldn't get me into LA with a gun to my head.

Big cities are the biggest blight on this planet, a pain to drive through, a pain to drive near, host nothing but blocks and blocks of wagie apartments, luxury hotels and corporate headquarter offices. They exist to congest every road remotely near them at inconveinent periods during the day

There really seems to be a movement lately where people just revel in being ignorant and stupid. Even over the pettiest, most insignificant things they just keep doubling down and will not budge.

The autistic example I’ll give is talking to someone the other day who made the claim Doom was released on consoles first. Told him that wasn’t right, it was an MS-DOS release and then got a ton of console ports. He said he’s pretty sure he’s right. Told him I’m looking at the release information right now, I had the game growing up, I know what I’m talking about. His response was “agree to disagree” at that point I thought he was just fucking with me. Nope and he got pissed when I called him an idiot.

that’s the dumb example but this shit happens constantly in other topics, even with cold hard facts proving them wrong people’s ego prevents them from doing something as simple as saying “oh my mistake” and admitting they’re wrong. Shit irritates me way more than it should

I call it the John Wayne mentality. Never apologize, it's a sign of weakness.

I'll never forget one time in college: Some girl was yapping on her phone in the middle of the library. There was an older guy sitting at the computer directly across from hers. He stood up and told her to turn it off. He was fully within his right because phones aren't allowed in there. She stood up as well, and began a speech. "FIRST of all, you do not talk to me that way. That is disrespectful. SECOND of all..." He just shut her down with, "goodbye." and sat down.

In all honestly, it's a reaction to the in-your-face dysfunction we deal with every day. Look around: is anti-social behavior not rewarded?

It absolutely is, especially if you possess some kind of identity where a bunch of idiots will call it "brave" or something when you act like a prick (I won't sperg on about it, but I'm sure you can imagine some examples of what I'm talking about) and/or know that the person you're acting shitty to risks being labelled as something bad if they attempt to get you to act appropriately.

It obviously is. Know why? Because people who act like sociopathic pieces of shit rely on the fact that normal people put up with it, and don't just knock them the fuck on their ass, out of some misguided sense of tolerance. Our kindness and decency is wasted on this class of people.

This is a reaction to that type of person that will take you admitting your wrong to argue that you were wrong on other things, or take making a minor mistake as giving up all credibility. Being around these people push you into a mindset of never backing down at any point, even if you know you're wrong.
