All this speculation about Phil's taste in music is like the constant speculation about Phil's sexual orientation or sex drive.

He is APATHETIC to both!

He has no interest in music and his knowledge of it only extends to a vague memory of smash hits during the late 90's or early 2000s.

Phils sole purpose is to make money online and all interests he used to have slowly disappeared.

He is "The Money Creature".
 
Haven't been following DSP too much in the last couple weeks so apologies in advance if this was already posted, but I'm watching through some Bacon Sweats for the first time and heard this:

I think there's a point, probably late 90s/early 2000s where DSP just stopped listening to music, but it's still impossible to actually tell what he genuinely likes and doesn't because I think a lot of his clowning over music and shitting on it by yelling over it is solely fear of content ID instead of actually disliking the music.

That said, I will always, always point out that DSP's admitted last purchased CD was a Maroon 5 CD. DSP is a white woman wine mom.

No much speculation Phil doesn't know much about music or pussy lol. Shitty dicks get brought up a bit too much for my taste. The closet isn't too far off since he doesn't fuck kat.

Edit: Also, with my new avatar I'll have to get used to Seeing Phil's mouth breathing stroke face. I originally did not think of this lol

Dark doesn't talk about music because he doesn't actively listen to music. That's cool. Not everyone does, and nowadays there's so much to listen to that it can be overwhelming for some people.

DSP, though, doesn't have any hobbies. Now, by 'hobby', I mean genuinely having passion for something and doing it for the satisfaction of doing it. That's the way I see it. It's something that develops you, at least a little bit, as a human and makes you progress while enjoying it.

He's more of a consumer. The closest thing I'd say he has passion for is devouring food. Not cooking, not the creation of the meal and putting in effort to please himself and the people he cooks for, but the blind consumption of a product.

The blind consumption of digital media as well. In my book, watching SpongeBob and random anime isn't a hobby (for him), watching TV is a thing that exists so any basic lifeform can enjoy. That's not really a hobby (imo). He has no knowledge of anything regarding media. We know this very clearly from his Ask The King and that weird girlfriend introduction stream he did with his horsewife.

Plus, he has a very shallow mind, so we can't even consider him watching artful and deep movies.

Gaming isn't something that he knows that much about or has any passion for either. For his 10+ years of literally only gaming, he has about as much knowledge as a random Twitter user under an IGN post. "This studio did this and it was shit, this studio did this and it was good, this got X award and it was deserved, this got X award and it wasn't deserved, gameplay this, graphics that, that game sucks, that game's great". Meaningless, shallow opinions with 0 justification.

Might as well ask Khet what she thinks (if you're willing to wait 3-5 business days for her to process what you're asking her).

He doesn't like meeting people, traveling (staycation in a hotel doesn't count), hell, literally anything I can think of that doesn't involve spending money.

He's not good at handiwork, he's not passionate about making his own stream setup be cool and personalized, he genuinely seems like he doesn't give 2 shits about anything outside of getting money and spending it as fast as possible. Like some street thug.

At least street thugs hang out with their homies. DSP's homies made a diss video about him.

What the fuck are you guys talking about? Phil CLEARLY listens to whatever cultural sounds his wife -thumbs at the door- listens to dood. They go from African tribal music to some Gregorian chants to some chinky chinky chang wang CHOY-NA music.

This is true but for Phil it’s like he acts he’s above listening to music (shocking I know). I at least had him pegged for a basic bitch rock station listener but he says he “doesn’t have time” to listen to music. Maybe it’s just me but this strikes me as so odd. Not to sound sentimental but music is instrumental in shaping who I am as a person. Not a day goes by when I don’t listen to something. Even if I’m working I’m surrounded by music. I can’t imagine just tuning everything out. Again maybe it’s just Dave being a isolating asocial drunkard who can’t enjoy anything with a plot or structure.

So in summary.... dsp contributes nothing to society in any way shape or form. It's like he wants money for just existing. This is worse than greed and any of the billionaires like the Bezos of the world. Everything little thing has to have money attached to it. As I referred to in a post I made earlier today, dsp Mark's up an item a thousand fold that cost him 5 to 20 dollars. He is the definition of no effort just Fuck You Pay Me!

I really can't wait to see this. I can't understand why anyone would want to play a dumbed down Flight Simulator. Then I remember it's Phil, and a game he doesn't have to actually play is the only kind of game he wants to play anymore.

Excellent post. You hit the nail on the oddly shaped head. I've never seen a man without a hobby or passion for anything. I don't count eating food either. He is not only lazy but without his lies and fuck ups the most boring and useless person ever. No wonder Phil has to transform his days off (basically eating some shit) into epic adventures.
 
To the guy a few pages back saying Flight Simulator will be Phil gliding over terrain talking about scenery he just said "I don't really want to learn how to fly a fucking plane in real life,what I wanna do is kinda fly over fun little ????? and see what they look like and relax and chill and talk about the architecture and the stuff in that area". Also he is using the word architecture wrong,when you are 30.000 ft in the air you can't see at the architecture of the buildings,I think he meant to say scenery or landscape.

That would explain why he doesn't turn the camera on during the pre-stream. Doesn't want people to see him reading his notes.
