I love when they'll make a thousand justifications on why it's not to whitewash, but not when it's the other way around. Comparing people to food is dumb enough, especially when it comes to whining about first world problems.

Though there could have been something interesting with some aspects of the story (namely how the Volturi are the ones preventing vampires from becoming tyrants and genociding humans, and prevents them from murdering scores of children), Meyer ignores all those implications in favor over her stupid sparkly vampire fantasy because she's a shit writer.

I meant general you, sorry. But yeah, there are some not-bad ideas washed out for Mary Sue fantasies and disturbing pedophilia themes.
