It wouldn't be the first time someone silently lurks their own thread. Isn't it funny how the same people that bounce and squeak about how anyone visiting "K*w*f*rms" deserves a horrible fate are the same ones that anonymously visit the site to keep tabs on their threads and those of their orbiters.
I will concede the point that a typical name change is generally an easy process with more formality than anything. Perhaps what I should have made clear is that many also want to change their legal documents, including their birth certificates, to make it look like they've always been the other sex.
While it might seem like no big deal to change a driver's license or other ID card to say Steve Smith is now Sue Smith, things got more complicated when people demanded their birth certificates be changed to say they were born as the opposite sex when that wasn't true. I believe some places were ordered to allow this after the issue went to trial. This also opened the door for woke locales to allow the so-called "X" option to specify someone doesn't want to be identified as male/female or has legally changed their gender.
The fact that what is and isn't done with regards to this varies from place to place and might not even be possible in some areas is where having options for legal help and someone willing to cover the cost with grant money can come in handy.
As for the Tranchers, its obvious everything they've done is all for show... the social media posts the articles and videos, and the grifting efforts are all about satisfying their insatiable desire for attention as less about acting like women and truly helping others.

Not sure if its just the fact that the photos aren't blurred to hell this time, but there's a fair bit of notable debris in that yarn this time, even falling off to the floor in those very pictures. And I don't think I realized just how thick the stuff is, until I noticed how small the floorboards look by comparison. Looks less like Yarn, more like Rope at that point. Even if those are very narrow boards, that's still very thick.

It looks like it's been sitting in a cellar for ten years, why is it $25? vegetable matter? why don't they wash the fleece before spinning it? I just can't fathom who would want to buy such overpriced, dirty yarn when you could just buy some made by a professional on etsy for five bucks.

Because they are different personality types. FtMs are usually sad autistic girls who feel alienated from female societal roles and then get groomed by a social group into chopping their tits off. Heterosexual MtFs are more likely to be narcissists with autogynephilia, and will tantrum if anyone fails to center their desires and needs at all times. Even normal narcissists are like that, but it gets much worse once you throw in the fundamentally unsquarable circle at the center of transwymyn existence (they want to be perceived as real women, but they never ever will be).
There are exceptions. Some FtMs are also narcs, but usually when they chimp out they get far less attention because they are women. And some young MtFs are also just sad autists who got caught up in the online grooming pipeline.

I'm just baffled at the shit quality of that yarn. Alpaca fiber is so coveted and expensive, and here they are spinning it into shit that wouldn't even sell in the "on sale" bin in the Walmart craft aisle. It's so uneven and dirty, what would you even make with it? A blanket for a dog, maybe, and even then, only for a dog you don't like very much.
Except a blanket takes a LOT of yarn, so you'd essentially end up with a shitty $250 blanket. That's the other thing that gets to me - you can't do shit with barely 200 yards of yarn. Especially not with one as thick and lumpy as this one. And as another farmer already mentioned, alpaca yarn is mostly wanted in light weights, so you can make socks or maybe a light shawl or such - try making something like that with their yarn and it will probably look like Hagrid made it with two wooden spoons for knitting needles.
Also, the price is insane, even for alpaca. Let's compare: Here is a listing for alpaca yarn from a different company. It's $9.50 per 100-yard ball, and it's 85% baby alpaca (which is softer and more expensive than regular alpaca). The tranch yarn (archive) goes for $40 for a 210 yard ball, and it's only 60% alpaca. I know economies of scale must help with keeping the other company's costs low, but the tranch's prices are just insane even for alpaca yarn. I'm guessing their target demographic is SJWs who are casually into knitting or crochet, or have someone in their family who is, but have never actually worked with alpaca or have any idea of what it costs. They just know it's "expensive" so it doesn't seem weird to them to pay $40 for a single skein of shit quality yarn, plus they feel like they've done a good deed by "supporting these poor disenfranchised trans women"
