The article doesn't keep its story very straight and goes from the Kiwi Farms bullying Near/Byuu to death but also says that what upset Near/Byuu the most was one of their friends being targeted. Apparently the thread caused him Schrodinger's angst, because it both gets blamed and absolved in the same freaking article.

I agree that if he's dead we'll see it on the gov statistics, but I personally think he scarpered off to China. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that getting a new, 'Chinese' name is part of the process of moving over there. They've got some whole sub language devoted to picking names for foreigners. Plus Byuu himself said he was learning Cantonese and gave the impression he wanted to move.

Would there be any publicly available stats if he migrated to China?

He did? Where did he admit that he was indeed attracted to these? Was it the thought crime thing? And being manga, there are no real children involved, nobody got hurt. Apparently it's something that happens in Canada quite often, as in Canada even drawing bestiality is illegal. He did take hormones, and he did it the DIY way for that matter, if that post of his is to be believed. So, I guess that's why. Though if he indeed isn't non binary, that would mean the news outlets and Wayne Beckett are misgendering him. In any case, it takes more than just being a furry to be a nonce.

Also question is how rando Coworker got his hands on said Urn and not you know family member.
