The same thing happened to me last year, I was banned for a few days because they thought I was a man. That's actually why I ended up signing up here. I didn't try to appeal it because at the time I didn't have a VPN and I didn't want to get perma'd. Being able to post anonymously is, really, the only pro to the site. It's too bad it's sunk as low as it has, I used to have a ton of fun there.
I think they're also mad that most of their best posters ended up on BP. They think we "stole" them, when in fact their shitmodding drove them away.
Shitmodding is def a large part of it, but it's also the fact that there is no consistent admin, and everything falls to shit every time the admin changes. This is probably the worst I've seen it though to be honest.
Probably most of the real women left once a critical mass of mentally ill troons were present to wreck everything with their shit.
People have been asking for another hellweek, because the moderation has actually been so inconsistent recently, and apparently one of the threads keeps getting raided. But nothing has been done in terms of putting a hell week in place.
posting of CP and gore has dropped drastically over the past few months. i believe the admin implemented some sort of script that detects image spam, as the person/bot that was continuously posting CP was always posting the same image/website. CP hasn't been mentioned in /meta/ for almost a month now. the only recent gore spam i've seen was in the MTF thread and its been awhile since it was last raided.
I thought it was the MTF thread getting raided but honestly couldn't quite remember if it was that or the fake boy thread as they've both had their own issues. Thank you for the clarification!
yeah it was really bad for awhile there. im glad things have calmed down as it seemed like everytime i hopped on the site in the morning the first thing id see is CP on the front page. also i don't blame you for not checking /meta/ frequently; its usually just an infighting shitshow lel

Of course there is no justification. They're the same, and just as rabid over some of their cows. Don't expect any of them to be smart enough to realize it, as they constantly try taking the moral high ground.
