I'm starting to think the masks are just loyalty tests, especially with the widespread acceptance of people wearing bandanas and ripped up t-shirts as masks. Big city lefties are ditching their masks, and about half of them don't bother to put one on when going inside (in my own experience). The vaccination numbers for generation X, Y, and Z aren't even close to what they wanted. They know the popularity of their policies is bottoming out and they know there's going to be mass non-compliance if they start doing too much crazy shit. I suppose they just play the propaganda game until something breaks in their favor. Maybe another terrorist attack or mass shooting.
