Colorado does not require a license to buy or own firearms. All it takes is being a resident of the State, a valid state-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID card, or concealed firearms license), filling out ATF Form 4437 for the transfer of the firearm, and having your background check returned with no felonies, violent misdemeanors, or warrants for your arrest. Of course, that's if you're buying a firearm from a licensed FFL dealer like a local gun shop. Most states allow face to face sales/transfers between two private citizens without a background check. Its really difficult to have your personal liberties stripped from you in the US. It requires things like judges and trials and shit.

Only these guys aren't as diabolical as Mother Dog, so the kid still has his clothes and phone. He manages to get a SMS text out to one of his friends, who gives him the number of the Tranch. He calls the Tranch and of course this is what Penny and Bonnie fucking LIVE for, so they pile in whatever vehicle they have that is still sort of running and head off to rescue their transwomxn sister. The kid is just glad to be out of the desert and still alive so he agrees to all their terms.
