One kid probably wouldn't cut it as they would be the outlier in her mind when they didn't like it, plus having Cynthia's undivided attention sounds a bit like being held at gun point (if she doesn't eyefuck her lovebug instead of paying attention the entire time). Two or three kids would probably be better, once they start talking over the movie and playing its an obvious game over but of course they would still be outliers to her. Even if she got a room full of children and each and every one of them trashed the movie to her face I still don't think she would believe them.

I think her pride is so ingrained in her that there is no helping her. She won't change. Let's see some examples!

1. She was in Special Ed and has said her classmates were below her, so much so that she dropped out and still believes she is better than them, even though I'm assuming most of them graduated.
2. She has her mom pay for her place and maintain it as she can't be bothered to until her mother is no longer there to clean up after her.
3. Despite going out of her way to not interact with her family, while treating her mother like a slave for all of them to see, she has convinced herself that she is important enough to them that they will fall all over themselves to save her from that dreaded group home she hates so much* when her mom passes away. She refuses the accept the very idea that life as she knows it would change, regardless of the outcome, and that absolutely no one is going to enable her as her mother has.

*it's curious that her fantasy life has her starting out as a young child in an orphanage and being saved when she is going to end up in a group home, parentless, waiting for someone to save her. Is this a self fulfilling prophecy?

No you wouldn't take it to heart because you're stuck in your ways. You believe you're right no matter what. And if that's the case then fine. The question then needs to be asked, why are you here? What possible reason could you have to come back here time and time again when we're not receptive to what you're making?
