It's not our anthem for a start, thats the British anthem. Been something of a point for many decades now.

Also, the whole knee against racism started as a knee for BLM, who shit on White and Jews, so some people are not happy with it. Plus it's the English, booing shit and singing offensive songs about stuff is a national sport. We call our managers rapists, we call our broadcasters fucking shit, and then we mock our own team for being wank and eating crisps. Shit on everything, its fun!

I get thats what you do for a pastime, but I’m talking about the leftists who in other countries support the national team but in England they hate supporting them. Anyway the seethe from Scotland has been fun to see.
 
The whole thing is hilarious, English fans have been considered delusional for decades for the crime of wanting to win a tournament. Somehow the Spanish, the Dutch, the French and the Germans are realists for thinking they've a chance of winning the thing but we're a bunch of fucking retards for hoping to win something. There's one team every two years that goes on to win an international tournament like the Euros and the World Cup so the chances of ANYONE winning is slim so why the fuck not can't it be England? Denmark nearly squeezed their way into a final and they're absoltuely shit.

Where's Spain now? Where's The Netherlands now? Where's France now? Where's the Germans now? On a plane home like the Danish are today.

There's still plenty of Leftists who do support them and indeed do so with great enthusiasm. They're just drowned out by the ones who want to whine instead but as is repeatedly mentioned about things like Twitter these public whiners do not represent a majority, just a very loud minority.

I don't think we're going to win I must say, but my word I'll be cheering them on. I just hope there's not another Hand of God incident since the Italians are definitely the sort both who'd pull that and who'd get away with it.

Germans? We pwnt them in the round of sixteen. True, they came out swinging but we were up to it and some well timed subs in the second half gave us the impetus for Sterling then Kane to tap a couple in.

Spain? Got shithoused off the field by Italy.

France? They were the victim of their own complacency. They were 3-1 up and should have just held onto it and tried to grind out the last few minutes. But they don't. They get careless, and the Swiss pull it back to 3-3 and take it to penalties where their keeper is having a better day than the so-called wunderkind Kylian Mbappé.

As for the final. You know, it could go either way. This time last week I'd have said that Italy would have beat us like a red headed stepchild but I'm not so sure. The Italians have had to rely on gamesmanship against Belgium and opportunistic counterattacks against Spain and I don't think they have the chops in their forwards to push through INGERLUND's defence, and their winger Spinazzola being out for the count really hurt them against Spain.

I hope it doesn't go to penalties. I don't trust Harry Kane not to spoon it over the bar or Jordan Pickford not to do something extremely stupid and let in an easy one.

I'm guessing another close one, probably 2-1. And one of those to come from John Stones or Harry "Slabhead" Maguire slotting it in off a corner. The other from Kane or Sterling. The Italian goal to come from a dubious penalty or free kick that r/soccer will masturbate all over as "karma" or something. They will then be reduced to incoherent shrieking as INGERLUND score the winner later on. This will make them cope, seethe, and above all, dilate like the cervix of a mother of sextuplets in the throes of labour.

There is literally no shame in wanting a win and being confident in a win. If the Italians can be confident, so can we. Question: Why is it coming home now in current year when the so-called Golden Generation of Owen, Rooney, Beckham, Gerrard, Scholes, Terry, Cole (both of them), Ferdinand, etc., all of whom had won the Champions League with their teams etc., never got past the quarters? I have three theories.

1. Sven Goran Eriksson

The man had no imagination beyond "scramble an early goal then defend desperately." He made some utterly WTF management decisions. Like calling up a newly minted Theo Walcott and then never playing him, ever. Like constantly sticking to the same plan against everyone. Like being more interested in gouging large amounts of money from the FA and spending it on stupid shit. Like banging various women extra-curricularly. If only he had been as interesting when he put forward teams and worked out tactics. Reportedly he used to just drone at the players during half time.

2. Money

The 2000s was a disgustingly monied era in English football and it felt like there was more drama about transfer fees and budget-busting purchases rather than actually playing the game. With large amounts of money brings big egos, and I think a lot of the time the players were more interested in playing for Man U or Barca or Chelsea or AC Milan or wherever because that's what kept them in big houses and shiny cars. This brings me on to...

3. WAGS

Wives And Girlfriends. You don't hear about them with INGERLUND now, do you. Good. I am convinced that because of this and the constant real life soap opera of the WAGS when they were on tour in wherever international tournaments were held, and their shopping and fashion choices, it provided a distraction from actually playing and trying to win, ergo the "Golden Generation" underperformed.

In fact, I'm pretty sure that if you plotted a graph of "WAGS appearing in the media" versus "INGERLUND success in international play" there would be a negative correlation.
 
No need for an essay tbh, plenty of "Golden Generations TM" don't win anything because there's only one chance every two years to win something.

Belgium's Golden Generation was these past few tournaments and yet they got their shit pushed in.

Sven was shite but I put more stock in Gerrard and Lampard never being able to play together and nobody having the balls to drop one of them. The moment Gareth Barry replaced Gerrard (or was it Lampard?) England looked 300% better.
 
Whatever happens, it's gonna be funny. Frankly Kane should have had that penalty, considering that first challenge in the box wasn't awarded. Genuinely hope England win, would be an added layer to the petty bullshit Germany and the EU have been trying since Brexit. It's our fishing waters, it's our vaccine that is leading the way and it's our game. It shall come home.
 
On one hand, Italy's redemption arc has been a delight to watch, and culminating it with an Euro title would be sweet.

On the other hand, I'd love to see Ingerlund win something in my lifetime. This is, what, the first final in a big competition since goddamn 1966, right? Imagine waiting that much.

Speaking of droughts, this Saturday night is the Copa América final. For all the talks of how it would be a total disaster, it went without a hitch (other than exposing our stadiums as having awful pitches) and had some cool moments here and there. It is also possibly the last chance Messi will have to win something with his National Team, and most likely he won't win shit, because it's against fucking Brazil. Also, seeing 90% of our sports commentators suddenly start rooting against their own NT purely out of ideological spite was both shitty and funny to watch. It goes to show where their real loyalties are.
 
The world doesn't seem to understand that there's no scenario where us English don't win. Either we beat the Italians in the cup and spend the next few months day drinking and smashing up kebab shops, or we lose to the Italians and spend the next few months day drinking and smashing up kebab shops.

There is nothing getting in the way of us inflicting our cuntery on the world no matter what the result.
