I thought the first goal from Harry Kane was a bit lucky, esp. as INGERLUND then seemed to go a bit wobbly and at the end of the first half they looked like they were pushing. But then Harry "Slabhead" Maguire put one away, and a second from Harry Kane and it just felt like the Ukrainians had all the wind taken out their sails.

Welp, Denmark next in the semis. Now I think this might actually be a tougher game for INGERLUND than the Germany game was in the round of 16. Denmark lost their first game to Finland only because they were in shock about one of their players almost dying. But since then they've been playing really well. But I think that INGERLUND will squeak it. Just.
You're right I think, they went in after half time with a lead which made a difference and once they shifted up to 2-0 then slammed a third in Ukraine did the opposite of what had happened in a few prior Euros matches this time and mostly called it a day.

Denmark I reckon will take England out. Italy I think bar an improvement will scythe down Spain and have minimal trouble no matter if it's the UK or Denmark but the games have been surprising enough that I'd not want to put money on any of them. In the unlikely event the UK makes it through to the finals though I anticipate hearing "it's coming home!" non-stop from mid week on.

We beat Germany at Wembley. It's coming home regardless of anything else that happens after that.

Lads, this is England, in the semis of a major tournament. It's going to go to penalities, it's like a rule for us or something.

Very soft penalty. I'll take it though.
The fucking salt on reddit is immense. Natural hatred for England, plus Harry doing us proud with his drawing fouls *chefs kiss* pure fucking hatred. Brexit being brought up, loads of people die of gayflu, hoping everyone in the UK dies from Russian invasions, you name it, it's all good stuff now.

Damn your godless eyes stop tempting whatever twisted deity is already fucking with this tournament.
That said wow you were not wrong about the r/soccer stuff. You'd think every player personally cucked these posters.

Edit. This may be my favourite;

Imagine diving against a team who saw their friend almost dying on the pitch a month ago

"Wah, one of their players almost died you guys!"

Damnit someone topped it by just directly linking;

Few choice cuts.

"England voted for Brexit because xenophobia, they boo and whistle at other countries anthems call german children "sluts" and boo their own players who take a knee against racism.."

"Hate having to watch England's hideous fans celebrating everytime the match is rigged for them"

"I hope the tabloids bully Sterling into depression."

"Italy will rape ya'll 7-1 easy"

Its a never ending stream of anger. Love it.

I think the anger is so high because soccer hates England because of Brexit, but they also hate the fact they cannot call Sterling because they dont want to be seen as racist. SO they have to come up with different ways to attack the better team winning.

Danes get a free pass, its never nice when you get knocked out.

Next step, score a goal in the 43rd minute for extra meme magic against Italy.

It was a soft penalty but you can also argue Denmark's free kick came from a soft foul as well, the people seething over this have obviously never seen soft calls in their life.

If they really want to see pure bias and shit refereeing they should watch the 2009 UCL semi-final between Chelsea and Barca.

I still don’t get why so many people in England hate the national team. They would say supporting the country is xenophobic and there is no need for patriotism. What’s there problem?
