How did you get all of the trans icons on board?
I have incredibly incriminating photos of all of them. No, I simply just asked if they were interested in being a part of history. I sent them some info and clips from the scenes and let them know what we were trying to do. A lot of people have said yes. A few have said no, but that’s OK.

I'm not surprised. As much as I hate to give tumblristas credence, their incredibly schismatic culture and inability to be pleased usually means they know when they're being pandered to. I'd imagine this is why they cling to Steven Universe so heavily because it's purpose isn't its progressiveness. It hits their more primal fancies for cute cartoons; applying progressive values is secondary. That and the staff seem a lot more truly immersed in Internet culture. On the other hand, I get this sense that Gen Zed's staff is detached from their audience, what with referencing things that tumblr users generally don't care about like mainstream celebrities and stand-up comedy. It's no secret that they're pandering, but they aren't even doing a good job.

Sonichu had a better concept.

That's not the VA, that's the character. The character has her own Twitter account.

And JFC, Shona in profile looks exactly like a Muppet. People's faces don't do that.
 
Do any of the artists have even a tiny smidge of experience? I never thought I'd find a style more unappealing than Total Drama, but here we are.
 
This seems like one of those shows that will be cancelled after one episode, or if they're lucky it'll get cancelled halfway through the first episode and pulled off the air.
