This guy is by his own admission so autistic he gets clocked just by his face by medical professionals, and has gotten so paranoid about right wing boogeymen that he has multiple posts freaking out about a supposed co-worker "stalking" him.

MAME development forum with a "shoutbox" which is a running chat. Is anyone autistic enough to scrape this, archive it, and search for clues about Byuu? I only saw one thing from Richard Bannister which was something like "Just heard about Near :(" which was like a few days ago. Otherwise it was all shop talk.

Other places to find emulator-related chat with decent traffic are the #mame, #mamedev, and #retroarch IRC channels.

I don’t think Byuu was ever a MAMEdev or contributed to MAME, but I’m unsure if any MAMEdevs had a connection to him. They are knowledgeable with the scene, generally aware of drama (mostly from RetroArch), and have a lot of industry knowledge.

I don't think he had any direct connections to it, but I do think code he wrote ended up in there.
