I never served but I see a lot of lost people end up in mental health systems. I've noted men have a pretty bad tendency to put most of their cards into their job when it comes to "how i value and see myself" so the job gets lost and the unraveling happens. It's how you cope that can send you to sped posting about stock markets in one room not showering not talking to your family, having unhealthy relationships with sex and then some therapist makes you realize Trooning Out and dating Kevin is the best option like Pennywise.... Or you can go the high route and use healthy coping mechanisms to find value in life elsewhere like start hobbies, family, join K*w*F*rms , volunteer etc.

Moids with shit self image/ self worth/ concept of idenity who have zero coping skills, are autismos, cluster b personality disorders, extreme on any wing of politics, mentally ill in some other way, closeted, or are porn rotted and always need to be the center of attention are all the ones who are most likely to troon. It instantly gives you gratification and asspats and you can be subpar and be hugboxed where trans is an identity and personality so you never have to use your brain again. I personally think it's because they get out of the military and their 'glory days' are behind them, so they have a midlife crisis (even if they're not even out of their twenties yet) and get the chop as a way of re-inventing themselves into this new 'heroic' person.

I'll believe otherwise when I see a single one of them that doesn't act like trooning out is somehow on par with their military service.

Tbh, this is my second favorite theory, though I think it would have to be PTSD + porn, like so many have said. I've seen PTSD do weird shit to guys, but prior to the troon fad they all became fat alcoholics or drug addicts.
