Calm down, Phillip... You didn't even start the stream.

I am a noob when it comes to fighting games (only played some SF 2, Virtua Fighter and Smash) but can you or someone else tell me if Street Fighter 2 is as great as Phil thinks it is in his gin brain - compared to other fighting games? Is it really that well designed? The reason is that from my memory I didn't find Street Fighter 2 that in-depth or complicated. It's not a diss because I am aware of the technical limitations back in the day. In other words: watching (him playing) SF bores the fuck out of me. It just looks lame. I hope he gets fucked up in a new fighting game.
Not anymore. I mean don't get me wrong, it has its place in history for a reason, back when it came out it was groundbreaking and every fighting game emulated SF because they completely changed the way fighting games worked, controlled and played. Before that you had to play absolute trash with bafflingly complex, unresponsive controls like Pit Fighter or Tongue of the Fatman. And yeah, it's not an in-depth or complex game and a lot of its design decisions are outdated, things like random stun and random damage and too many lopsided matchups for example. However in its simplicity it is actually good at teaching you fundamentals, while there aren't any complex mechanics or tech at the same time you can't really use anything as a crutch, so it does teach you the importance of spacing, knowing how and when to get in, how to move away, when to shift to offense or defense, what to do on wake up etc. Of course, that also means that it's easy to "solve", meaning that too many possible situations in the game have optimal responses.

Since you also mentioned Virtua Fighter, I'd compare it to VF2. VF2 is to 3D fighting games what SF2 is to 2D fighting games. Would I play it? Nah, unless it's for a trip down memory lane against an old friend I'd rather just play one of the newer games in the series that I like more.

DSP has introduced/proposed his next money-making tactic: a reward for "tips goal streaks". If he hits the tips goal on, for example, six consecutive streams, the viewers get to decide what the next stream will be about (they get to pick a game from a poll).

That's just an example he gave, but he really wants to do this reward, and is looking into what that reward should be exactly (read: his viewers need to come up with something).

Also important to mention: he still sad about the vest streak ending. He mentioned that his streams need "some form of incentive" to make the paypigs give their money and said that during the vest streak the support was amazing and now it's just not as supportive.

Letting the vest streak die will forever be OiC's mark of Cain.

*Hits 6 stream streak*

PHIL: "Okay guys what game you want?"

FANS: "STREET FIGHTER 5!"

PHIL: "FUCK NO. I SAID PICK A GAME OF MY CHOOSING IN THE POLL! fucking morahns snooooort"

FANS: OKAY

Poll
Virtual Fighter 5 - 85%
Divinity - 10%
Call of Duty - 2.5%
Mass Effect - 2.5%

PHIL: "Okay so clearly Call of Duty won because the poll was attacked by trolls. See you on the next stream! Also make sure to fucking pay me.. err I mean SUPPORT!"

FANS: "but...."

PHIL: "ALRIGHT! I've had ENOUGH! The next person that complains about the winner of the poll is getting moderated."

It's a sad unfortunate truth when there are family's out there living pay cheque to pay cheque with actual kids and all where as DSP has a wife named Kat and a Cat son named Jasper, making 15K a month in tips but cant financially budget. With wheelchairs supporting his life style.

Again, the only person getting a 'reward' is him in the form of paypigbux. All the paypigs get is more broke. Fascinating none of them see this simple fact.

Dear Patreon supports:

Remember when Twitch "fucked Phil over" and he said he was going to revitalize the page and rewards?

He didn't promise anything so, get fucked.

I'm going to go back and clip this fucking food rant after I get off work, this should qualify as torture under the Geneva Convention.

Holy shit, this guy is talking about Indian food like he just discovered it and must tell the rest of the human race about it.

He loves it so much, it makes me wonder if he’s gonna start saying that he just found out he’s part Indian.

He also said something about how most Americans don’t know about Indian food because it’s one of those cuisines that’s not really “socially acceptable”, and then lists other middle eastern/Asian countries. Motherfucker, it’s one of the most popular cuisines in the country, and the world. I mean, it is THE most popular cuisine in the UK. (it was the last time I looked, anyway)
