I thought I would throw this on here because of Bob's China fetish. It's an interesting series of YT videos that detail how the People's Republic of China may be screwed in the long term. Part 3 (Water) was of interest to me because of how the Chinese government is willing to spend to $100B on a water diversion project rather than the simple and cheaper solution of charging more for water and more efficient ways of managing it. It reminds me of how Bob is in love with engineering megaprojects for their own sake because he loves "the science™"rather than what's practical.

Part 4 (National Insecurity) reminds me of how Bob, like the PRC, is a belligerent asshole and I do believe that a small part of it is playing up to his base. Hence why you see him doubling down whenever he's called out on his bullshit, but I believe that he's at least 75% a true believer.

"Impress" is the part that's hard to digest.

There are some true believers in ideologies that overlap with Bob's - but in all fairness, none would take it to his level. As you've wonderfully documented, they dunk on him or block his stupid ass daily. Those people, for the most part, see the constructive or societal value stemming from exploring those political ideas. That's fantastic. Shared ideas through discourse helps grow and improve society.

Bob and his satellites aren't that. He hates himself but is so sickeningly narcissistic that he can't accept that any of his misfortunes are his fault. The result is daily screeching - not toward anything constructive, but blame from sunup to sundown. One side's ideology stresses hard work and personal accountability as the path to success. Bob hates them with a passion. He shills for the farthest reaching members of the team that cries that the deck is always stacked against them and they can't win no matter how hard they try.

So who's impressed? The same shitty losers with the same shitty attitude as Bob, focused on blaming everyone else for their misfortunes instead of appreciating what they have and making the best of it. Great crowd. Lot of fun, those people. I empathize; I felt this way for some time. Then I turned 14.

Let's suppose I approached Bob and his crowd and dropped some facts. Those of us in the Western world are living in the greatest time to be alive. Food is everywhere. Entertainment has never been so inexpensive and easily accessible. We're living in the age of indoor plumbing, which is just the best. The EEOC of 1972 prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Would a single one even acknowledge how undeniably fair this arrangement is or bitch and moan that a transgendered person hasn't walked on the moon yet?

Unlike Moviebob, I don't advocate violence against people I disagree with. However, I can't prevent others from engaging in violence against thsoe they disagree with. So, let's assume that someone wants to risk serious jail time and pops Bob in the mouth with said padlock on a chain. This improvised weapon pops Bob with enough force that he gets knocked to the ground. I would walk up to him as he lies prone, point downward toward him, laugh as hard and as loud as possible, and boast, "Remember, Bob: No bad tactics!"

You know what? I do agree. I always preferred Jackass when it was on TV because the bleeping of the swearing left it to the theater of the mind to fill in the blanks. Perhaps Bob's greatest failure is how he couldn't parlay being mentioned by Howard Stern into any substantial growth.

I remember he tried doing the angryfuck thing a few more times right after that, like his Spectre review, to keep that Pixels energy flowing, but it didn't work.
