Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

For China, the evidence for the lab leak must be particularly damning, and they are trying to get ahead of the curve by being 'tough' now.

Effectively, the Biden Administration has been forced to turn on China because its become very, very clear that the confirmation Covid came from China both came in, and broke containment. The attempt to memory hole failed, backfired, now the last few weeks are an attempt to get ahead of that.

I really don't understand how people can look at CRT, it's tenants, it's proponents, authors and everything else and come out of it thinking it's going to better society and race relations in any way shape or form.

I can see and understand the framework now that I looked a bit more into it, but the application of it is so fucking bizarre and extreme that it baffles me that people defend it in the way it is now


EDIT: Just to ramble a little more, this kind of shit is only going to make white people more aware of their own race, create resentment between minorities (as we already see with blacks and asians), and create a hostile environment for mixed people in general, especially if they are "white passing", in a way, creating lots of insular groups put against each other in a king of the hill type of conflict where people will be incentivized to create more and more identities in order to stack more opression points, and perceived injustices against the ingroup from anyone outside will be met with increasing levels of vitriol and violence (in a way, what we already see increasing with blacks against asians)

The ONE fucking good thing about the Biden Admisntration being a bunch of oligarchs. They aren't beholden to any such deals. Meaning doing an about face lets them have all the plausible deniability in the world while Biden takes the fall.

I would agree with conditioning, especially a social narrative and functioning as a social wedge creating division, turmoil and conflict amongst not only large groups and as well as individuals.

I find it difficult to isolate a long-term benefit especially with the intensity it is being pushed and a proportionate, eventual push back...

It just not seem sustainable...

It's a distraction that will achieve nothing as well, since the filibuster is intact and the GOP will gladly block any federal level firearms legislation that the Dems propose.
