What I dont get about his music is it just feels so lazy. There are some parts of this that are ok, the first 2 1/2 minutes sound like they could be an intro to a pretty decent dark ambient piece, but then parts of it feel like a half hearted attempt at noise without any of chaotic song structure or sound texture that makes the genre appealing, and it relies to heavily on the generic dnb sound that he always uses. What he should do is pivot and try to move to a genre without all the edgy vibes. Music is a tool which people can use to change how they feel, and i think this goes double for the person making it. If you make music about being a sad gay tranny, that's how you are going to feel about yourself. He could use some of that patreon money to buy a field recording device, spend some time outside in nature, record some pleasing sounds and make music that makes you feel good instead of bad. It doesn't take anymore talent than what he is currently doing, and while he would probably lose the vast majority of his fanbase, and probably make no money, it would be better for him in the long run than making music for edgy teens.

Slvt's stuff has some elements of Noise but primarily it pulls heavily from the Breakcore and the Witchcore scenes. I personally prefer Breakcore in general over Witchcore but I think even avid listeners of both subgenres will admit to the limited scope and lack of ambition the sub-genres tend to have. Noise is a completely different story, there's a bunch of experimentation going on there, but I feel like there's only an incidental amount of that in his work. Personally I don't really care about the well being of an artist, as long as they keep producing interesting stuff. Depressing sub-genres like Coldwave has carved out a great niche in current musical landscape for the catharsis it gives fans, and Slvt is no different.

My main criticism of his music is the lack of any progression and ambition in his sound and how muddy some of his tracks are. I think his stuff would be a lot better if he slowed his output and focused on one project for a few years, or diversifying his sound a bit to incorporate other sub-genres and sounds. Then again I'm a weirdo that likes really experimental music so I'm probably in the minority with my opinions on this.

If you're demanding porn art of your 'persona' and the first thing you receive is a fan art of you being a children and getting fucked, then it says a lot about the kind of people you're attracting.
