Does it really count as a smear campaign to literally just go "yea here's where they lied". I'm pretty sure identifying someones explicit statements and reporting on the incongruity of what they said and what they say now is pretty much a core concept of journalism, not that I'd expect these people to know.
Traditional media journalism really is dead. I'm curious what the long term structure that'll replace it is. Whatever rises up doesn't need to be perfect, just better than the MSM. Not exactly a hard hurdle to pass.
