Rhys made the mistake of trying to argue from science (twisted, bad science, but still science) and not postmodernist beyond-gender claptrap. That's where the wind was blowing. Not just that, plenty of wrestlers have more or less openly made it clear they know that everyone else knows that it's bogus, but he made it look BAD.

It's the same thing with "queer" - it was meant to be an all-inclusive sort of thing, but of course they had to go and add additional letters because why not when there's a whole alphabet?

This is my biggest issue with the whole queer/CRT/LGBTA++++ movement - The needless complication of literally everything. It's confusing. And it hurts my old lady brain. Like I was reading a book the other day and I came across something like "[character] is asexual because doesn't want to have sex but wants to date" and this is supposed to be interesting? I don't give a shit*. Ugh and I read a lot of terrible books, and they all have this now too. /rant over

Edit to say: UNLESS, unless, said character is a serial killer and just wants to kill dates or is a psychic vampire and wants to drain said date's essence or whatever. But no, because idpols are lazy, the asexuality of the character is never ever made any more interesting.
