Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The fact that audits are and will be happening is a good thing. It shows intent from the GOP, a lot of intent that seemed sorely lacking last fall. I'm under no illusions that this could remove the current administration for better or worse we are stuck with Biden/Harris to 24 at the earliest. However what these audits could do is give some closure to tens of millions of voters who have possibly been disenfranchised and better yet could motivate hundreds of lawmakers across the US to legislate for safer elections in the future.

The media and big tech will do their best to suppress any damaging info coming out and will have some success. Schlong has a point that a lot of people are willfully ignorant and that will only help the media/big tech with their aim. Politics at the moment are extremely polarised and I don't think that will go away anytime soon. However I believe support is slowly draining from the progressive/neoliberal camps and that they will have a increasingly difficult time to winning fair elections. Undoubtedly they will be looking to cheat more and more.

Overall I'm positive that anti-progressive alliance should come out on top.
