What the fuck is this?

Also, the sawdust will probably make them clean the stove, so we'll have to reset the grease-watch.

Depends on state, depends on what you do, when you do it, and who sees it. Also depends on if this the first time or not.

As others said, you need to prove fear of threat or danger. If its the first time you just point a gun at someone on your lawn, at most you'll get a talking to by the officer about "At least warn them off your property before you draw down on them"; if it becomes a habit, they will probably try to get you on something to hopefully make them stop. But more importantly, it establishes a record of you being an unhinged looney so if you do end up injuring or killing someone, you will have one hell of a time proving necessary self defense.

IANAL, but I believe if you are one your property and the person is someone without a legal right to be on your property, you can't get got for brandishing. But you could get got for menacing if that's a thing you can be got for in your jurisdiction.
I think the big thing that works against the Tranch for any form of self defense claim is they never contacted the police so there is no paper trail of ongoing threats they tried to deal with through the proper channels, but there is an extensive paper trail of them talking about killing people for coming on their property.

At that point you look like you were just looking to kill which is going to mitigate how threatened they can claim to feel under legal interpretations.

I'm not a lawyer but I read a lot and there was a case in Minnesota a bit similar, there were caveats different than this but the principle would work out the same way. (Wiki overview) The nail in the guy's coffin was recordings of himself he made before the burglars arrived where he whispered about killing them, its pretty eerie. I think thats less damning than months old tweets preparing to kill Nazis who may not also have addictions like the two teens killed in Minnesota.

Is covering the stove THIS hard? I thought it's some basic human thing that you just know: cover your shit if you can't get it out of the way. That's not autism, that's downright down's syndrome.
Personally, I love the spray bottle of Clorox off to one side, posed as if trying to convince us they actually take care of their stove. Too bad they got wood, drywall, plaster, and paint all over the poor damn thing, which is going to smell fantastic next time they go to cook. You ever try to get plaster dust out of something? It never comes clean, no matter how much you scrub.

That's where a lot of the Who/How/Where stuff comes in. It doesn't matter if there are 5 armed dead guys in your house if you were yelling "YEEEHAW! FINALLY! AN EXCUSE TO KILL NIGGERS! I'VE BEEN WAITING ALL NIGHT TO KILL THE FIRST NIGGER I SEE!" where the neighbors could hear you the whole time.

Also, if you do find yourself in a home defense shooting situation, your first words once the police show up (or even better to the 911 operator) should be:
"I don't feel well, I'm having some chest pains and feel very dizzy, I might be having a panic attack or worse. Please call the paramedics I would like to go to the hospital" and then absolutely nothing else to the police except "I'm pretty sure I need to talk to my lawyer". This will keep you from making any comments a district attorney attempting to curry the convicted felon vote could use to try roast you alive in court.

In the case you linked, possibly even with the audio tape, if he had talked about it through a lawyer instead of issuing statements about cleaning up a mess and saying "if someone's laughing after being shot, you finish the job", he probably could have gotten off with Man 2 at the most, maybe even plead to Man 2 with a suspended sentence given they were there to rob his ass.

POV: you are Earl breaking into the Tenacious Unicorn Ranch and this is the last thing you see before you die.

Can we talk about this cut into the frame support below the window and, now, the unsupported downward newly displaced force it is creating?

Also disregard the thing past the opening as that would be a Troon from the Tranch. Thank you.
