Because nobody likes looking at fat, ugly retards. Male or female.

Also I'm pretty sure the concept art looking better than the final result was entirely the fault of Redhead O'Manjaw from GOT

Sony just keeps hitting those homeruns, also Forbidden West is coming to the PS4 too thus further invalidating the existence of the PS5.

People said the same thing about Persona 5 coming to PS3, but it was a digital only release. Considering the PS4 will still get support into 2022, having a year or so with PS5 having some ports on PS4 won't hurt it in the long run since all Sony systems have lasted 8 years or more.

Tales of Arise has the Special Edition be PS5 only, same as Berseria and Zesteria only getting the special edition on PS4 while it was either bare bones physical release or digital only for the PS3.

Apparently Gran Turismo 7 and the newest God of War stop being PS5 exclusives too as they're both being developed for the PS4 as well. Eventually PC ports down the line.

Persona 5 was not digital only on ps3, unless I imagined the copy I bought when that came out

Watch them still charge $70 for them though.
They already said that not everything will be ported, and I wouldn’t count on the more niche stuff being ported ever since the market wouldn’t be there for those games.

But consoomers on PC will definitely be paying a premium for whatever else gets ported there. Games like Forza Horizon 4 are 3 years old but apparently it was a top seller when it released this year on Steam for $60 lol.

I was speaking more for the PS4 versions still costing $70 but it probably will apply to steam as well. Seeing that shit on FH4 I thought it had to include the two expansions but apparently not, what a retarded decision that was, people paying that much were also dumb.

Playstation PC ports are a ruse. They're only using them for market testing for places like India.

The Uncharted 4 PC port has a ton of extra stuff not in the PS4 version to specifically target pajeets in terms of mining their customer data. The western world outside of Russia is not the intended demographic. The goal is to drive the third worlders towards PS5 by offering them their first hit on another platform with the next one having a $500 surcharge with a new console. The TV shows are deemed further upstream and the process is supposed to go TV Show-> Old Game PC port-> Playstation 5 Purchase with game.

There’s also the Chinese market to tap into since their recent ban on console business was uplifted in 2015. Put some old games on a platform they can already use, and then entice them towards the main space if they want the latest content.

I wonder if China influenced Nintendo putting IPs on mobile. That platform is more comparable to a Switch thanks to the portable aspect.

China was one of the countries listed along with India and Russia that these ports are targeted towards.

The Chinese PS5s were sold out before launch though. People were curious if the restocks are the same as current PS5's or if they're going to be using the new chip set that's the same power and clock speed but it's quicker to manufacture.

I disagree, especially after how much money Horizon Zero Dawn made back on investment. Maybe that was their original intentions, but the recent financial news seems to have them very keen to port at least more than intended

They're porting shit to PC for one reason and one reason only.

Money.

All the "They're doing it to lure people to PS5!" and other mental gymnastics are nothing but cope. They probably saw what MS was doing and decided to try it out, and they already confirmed they made a ton off the HZD port. I suspect it's only going to accelerate and the vast majority of Playstation games will be ported and it'll get closer to day and date too. If they see their console sales start to completely tank, they may put the brakes on it but as of right now PS5 and XSX are still selling like hotcakes and are almost impossible to get.

Anyway, HFW just got confirmed to have a 60FPS mode on PS5, so that's good.

They specifically said in their business powerpoints that they're using PC ports as a means of driving people towards the playstation ecosystem and having them purchase a PS5 with PS Plus.

The reason why the PC ports take a snapshot of your hardware specs is so sony can see what people are playing on so they can market consoles revisions or future playstations so they're more appealing to groups who play on PCs in those countries and regions.

PlayStation brining their games to PC is weird but if it means I don't have to actually buy a PS5 I'm all for it.

Whatever money they may lose in console sales will probably be made up for by having a wide new audience for the games themselves, they might even make more money than they would otherwise, it's a smart move and everyone should treat PC as the default standard shared platform.

With all the hubbub about Aloy's face, I had to ask myself why my kneejerk reaction is that she is now a hideous and unappealing caricature of a woman.

Now I remember why:

It's a man, baby!

In all seriousness though, she looks better in the thumbnail of the trailer on the first page than she does in the newest footage.

Nothing about this series is original, interesting, or appealing. The main character is an ugly STRONK WAMMEN token that they're actively trying to make uglier for woketard points, "dinos but also robots" sounds like something a fucking child came up with in 2 minutes, and nobody with a job and a life needs another bland open world game to collectathon their way through.

I do not understand anyone showing any amount of enthusiasm for this kind of bullshit. Or buying a goddamn console for.

Robot dinosaurs could be cool, but the game would have to be hammy and over-the-top to actually pull the concept off. Or...

The idea of a robot plague decimating the world and reducing humanity to near caveman like status does actually have some potential: Basically a low-fantasy setting with the remaining working tech replacing magic. Now add to it the ability to kill robot animals, crafting axes and other weapons and armor from their remains, and riding across the crumbling ruins of a long dead civilization like a Mongol warrior seems like a winner idea.

To bad that's not the direction they went with.
