It doesn't make much sense to me that there could be SJW sex workers but they do exist. Are they opposed to it and see it as objectification when they are young but once they realize that they cannot become professional SJWs they go into it because it is their highest paying job option, or is there some sort of ideological thing that I am missing.

There is potential for discussion here, but you're going to need a far more robust opening post for this thread to go anywhere.

Find some links, caps, quotes, photos, etc.

A problem that I faced is that the majority of the tags that I could search are tags that tumblr blocks/bans

I'm willing to bet that a lot of people on Tumblr claiming to be sex workers are bullshitting (like Riley was).

Either that, or their idea of "sex work" is camming or posting shoddy nude images for a few bucks. Kind of like what IDCP claims to do (or claimed to do, don't know if she still does it.)

I've seen a few of these people. They think being against prostitution is the same as being against women's sexual freedom. Even though left-leaning types who want prostitution banned generally want it banned because of how dangerous it can be to the workers and want better social safety nets in place so nobody will end up with selling sex as their only option, SJWs think they just want prostitutes to be unemployed because they're "whorephobic" or against sex in general.

Almost all SJW sex workers who aren't making it up for oppression points are girls who camwhored or worked for an upscale escort service for a few months and not people who were out on the streets working for a pimp. A lot of them talk about how having the ability to give men boners gives them power over them which makes prostitution and stripping totally empowering and feminist. Anyone who disagrees with them tends to get called a whorephobic SWERF and dismissed, even if they're raising valid points about human trafficking and how desperate poor people get taken advantage of.

I think it's usually just another attempt to score in the oppression olympics.

Look at some of the people making these claims, like Phil or Ronald McDonald.

My first thought on encountering the "Sex work" sjw community on tumblr was that it was a lot like the "lifting" community: roleplay. Like 100% of the tumblr SJW community they focus on America and American norms and treat sex workers like special snowflake gods among plebs.

Except the lifting community only uses "roleplay" as a flimsy attempt to cover their asses. Once you get beneath the surface, it's abundantly clear that it's anything but.

Personally, I've always thought that these Tumblrites were calling themselves "sex workers" these days because "camgirl" sounds too passé.

What would you do if your son was at home
Crying all alone
On the bedroom floor,
Cause he's hungry and the only way to feed him is to sleep with a man for a little bit of money?
And his daddy's gone somewhere smokin' rock now,
In and out of lock down,
I ain't got a job now,
So for you this is just a good time
But for me this is what I call life

The joiner nature of tumblr kinda encourages people to lie to get in with the cool kids. I kinda suspect that while there are legit theaves, sex workers, and trans people on tumblr there are also a number of pretenders that jump on a trend to get opression points.
As for "sex worker": Its a likely that they started using the term because its a term used by those in the social scientists to cover a bunch of types of jobs that involve the exchange of money for some form of sexual satisfaction. Its a vague term and it kinda makes whatever they are talking about sound worse... maybe thats why they use it? For pity points? Or because its a term associated with academia so they can sound smart and informed?
