The dog from Animal Crossing is not "basic shit".

Usually furries start with the Space Jam rabbit, the exercise cat from Heathcliff, or Loona the goth wolf. If you're already Tommie Tootering to the dog from Animal Crossing, then you're down the hill already.

Doesn't matter if they're still relevant or not, they were what got furries started: the Heathcliff cat was the gateway for Gen X furries, the Space Jam rabbit was the gateway for Millennial furries, and the goth wolf is the gateway for Zoomer furries.

The Animal Crossing dog is not an introductory-level furry character.
