The Alaska Democratic Party is now throwing its resources into promoting Drag Queen Storytime, an event that has been hosted multiple times for young children at the Loussac Library in Anchorage.

This time, the official political apparatus of the Democratic Party is partnering with local Drag Queen performers – Golden Delicious and Ivanna Read – to “read storybooks and sing songs to entertain the whole family.” The Facebook notice for the June 19 online event, states that the goal is to celebrate Pride Month.
Brooks Banker is one of the Drag Queen performers. He goes by the stage name “Golden Delicious,” and is a well-known entertainer in Anchorage’s gay bars. His Instagram account describes him as a “Genderqueer Queer Queen & Bearded Babe” and includes a Black Lives Matter fist with a transgender flag in the background. Banker has been one of the lead organizers behind past library Drag Queen events for toddlers and teens.

Local Drag Queen dancer Brooks Banker will perform for Alaska children on June 19.
“The Alaska Democratic Party is proud to host this event virtually so Alaskans across the state can now enjoy story time together,” the notice states. “Whether you are young or young at heart, this event is a safe space for everyone, filled with love, laughter, and lots of great books.”
In addition to providing sexualized children’s entertainment, Democrats are using the event to solicit donations for the Alaska Democratic Party so they can “continue to recruit candidates and elect leaders who support the Alaskan LGBTQ+ community, and to host future events like these!”
Drag Queen events targeting young children with shows featuring alternative sexual lifestyles has come under intense pressure over the past few year as the LGBTQ movement has focused its efforts on inculcating youth with its message. Anchorage has seen protests and signed petitions urging the Loussac Library to abandon the publicly sponsored events. The library has not held a Drag Queen Story Hour since 2019, but the Democratic Party has now taken the lead.

The kind of parents that bring their kids to these would just find something similar to drag their kids to if "gather around the sex offender" ever got cancelled.

I think this'll get more interesting if/when its made mandatory through public schools. the muslim/black/etc parents start having an opinion, and intersectionality kicks in.

Hasn't one of the hosts of these such events been proven to be a kiddie diddler? I remember something like that being pinned on the front page a while ago.

The beauty of Alaska is a lot of people going missing in its wilderness. Hint, hint.

Alaska is the last state that I'd expect to hear this shit to come out of. Good thing that this will only turn an already red state even more red (and will cause some unexpected suicides and cold cases later on, but y'know...).

That will be when the fun starts.... when Diva Neckbeard wants to roam into a public school that's 75% Somali immigrants. The best thing about "intersectionality" are the inevitable head-on collisions that are inbound.

Can we please just jump to the "killing them all and dumping them in an unmarked grave" phase yet? There's seriously no reason for these "people" to exist.

Sometimes it feels like the Democratic Party doesn't actually want to win. Why on earth would you try to link your party to the transgender/drag queen issue in a famously conservative state? Stick to the economic/labor issues that are the historical foundation of the party. Keep social issues to a minimum. That's how you get an oil driller in Alaska, a farmer in Iowa, and a dockworker in Newark to vote for the same party. If you make it all about how this fat guy with a beard is actually a proud strong woman who should definitely be allowed near your children, you lose those workers.

Meanwhile tens of thousands of people in Alaska live in villages with barely any electricity and no running water but they don't matter, let's compete with California to have the most fabulous Drag Queen Storytime.

It's still the West Coast.

Because according to the brilliant minds in charge of the DNC, those people don't matter - urban bugmen and their culture/interests are what should be catered too, and then forced onto the rest of the country.
And if those stupid hicks try to vote against it, just start dumping ballots at 4AM to make sure you still win.

Drag queen cosplay used to be reserved for the Mad Emperors in a dying empire. But thanks to the wonders of western judeo-corporatism, even the common pleb can take part in the fun nowadays.

Remember when drag queens actually tried to look like women? Around 30 years ago, the days of Ru Paul and To Wong Foo, that was the point, actually trying to look like an attractive female.

Now when it's a guy with a beard it just looks terrible and disturbing, not in anyway charming.

People just don't know when to fucking quit, that's the issue here, not LGBT as a whole or a drag queen as a basic concept (it's appropriate for adult entertainment, not kids), it's dangerous how people just keep pushing and pushing more and more as time goes on, anything can be taken to a dangerous extreme.
