I was wondering about the legality of his knife. I know in my area that knife would be ilegal to carry (without a concealed weapon permit). Canada better not have more freedoms than I do as a US citizen! :jacepout:

It really depends on what state you live in. California: damn near any knife will get you time. Though if I'm not mistaken most states consider stilettos (or dirks or daggers depending on how they want to classify the knife) as a banned weapon that only peace officers are allowed to carry.

Mind you I'm not completely up on all the knife laws in all the states, but I wouldn't risk carrying a blade like that.

Ya, I don't carry any combat style knives anyway, I just keep a small jackknife/multitool. I actually do think my state bans stilettos style knives though completely now that you mention it.

Going to do a little knife sperging here:

First, Cold Steel Ti-Lites are not cheap. They usually run about one-hundred to two-hundred dollars. Which is a lot for a simple "fruit cutting" knife.

Second, if you get caught by the police while you're carrying that knife on you, you stand a damn good chance of getting your ass sent to jail, if not prison, depending on where you get caught. Knives that are modeled after the stiletto like that were designed for one purpose, and it wasn't cutting fruit.

So in addition to this guy being a bully and a piece of shit for recording his grandfather dying, he's also the type of wannabe tough guy that needs to carry a large blade around with himself to feel macho.
He also bought a hunting bow, and noted that it was not for hunting "non-human animals". I'm pretty sure he was just trying to be funny, but still, a bow is not exactly a practical self defense weapon, so his reasons for having it are suspect. He could just like archery, but given his behavior, I'm not sure anymore.

Unrelated: He lives in Canada, but I'm not sure about the laws over there.

Typically a person doesn't use a hunting bow for recreational archery. I'm not saying it's unheard of, but it's not what you'd use. I also can't think of a reason he'd want one, he's not a hunter (unless he's lying about the vegan thing) and like you mentioned bows aren't exactly a good self defense weapon. I suppose he could be using it for varmint killing, but most states don't look too kindly on that. A lot of them consider it inhumane to use a bow for that purpose.

Of course, it could just be that he bought it to use as a means of intimidation in his videos and make himself feel tough and it's now collecting dust.

Edit: Ah, I thought for a moment he lived in the states. I have no clue about how Canada runs things regarding bows.

In other news, Vegan Gains was doxxed a while back following the grandfather debacle. Whatever comes his way, he only has himself to blame.

Was his grandfather "abusive" because he ate meat?

Funny you bring that up, since Vegan Gains has recently been trying to do damage control by making a sob story about his hard childhood and how the vegan lifestyle helped him and yadayadayada. It's all bullshit of course, and the vegan circlejerk community isn't doing the sensible thing by disassociated itself from this asshole. In fact, they're doing the opposite, they're attempting to justify his actions and words, talking about what a nice guy he is and other shit like that.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=Zz2ETV3gWJkHe made a video excusing his blatant death threat by saying that he has a "dark sense of humor". Which is fucking bullshit, since there's not a trace of sarcasm or humor when he expresses his desire to "look at the fear in his eyes" when he kills him.

If he keeps up that bullshit, he may some day have to explain to a judge how he isn't "100% serious" about all these threats he makes as a heavily armed individual with a collection of shit of questionable legality.

It's kind of peculiar how the controversy over the grandfather sparked off this whole thing. Before that, he was just another radical vegan asshole that went on with his "meat eaters are evil" rhetoric and went after other prominent bodybuilders. Then the infamous grandfather video pops out, and in less than a week he talks about wanting to kill somebody for calling him a sociopath and he starts showing off his bow and knife.

Unless it has a spring assisted blade release, most folding knives are legal in Canada.
Threatening death in a very specific way with said knife, however, is not. That's called menacing.

-edit for minor details-
The knife itself might be prohibited, but that would most likely just lead to a seizure. ie. The cops would take the knife and that would be the end of it. I'm not a freak that carries around combat knives, so I'm not 100% on what is and isn't allowed.

I don't know much about knives except how to properly cut a tomato without it gushing all over the place but I can say for sure that doesn't look like a utility knife that you put on your keyring. Also who cuts fruit with a pocket knife unless you're out in the orchard and you want to eat an apple but you never figured out how to bite into it.

It always seems to be that one little action that propels an ordinary idiot into lolcowdom, leading them to bring out the worst in themselves from that day onwards.

The scariest things about all this is that the guy still has a devoted fanbase of blind sheep proclaiming their undying love of him. You seriously need to see the things these people say to excuse Vegan Gains' blatant sociopathy.

Doesn't look like he has much gains.

Well you need protein to build muscle and with a vegan diet you have to try even harder to get the extra protein you need to grow your muscles.
