The phrase "TERF is a slur" actually has merit to it, in the sense that troons use "TERF" as a slur to describe any woman who disagrees with a troon on any given issue.

Hell, not just women. Men get called TERFs too so that's how you know it's a slur that doesn't make any sense. Men typically don't get into radical feminism.

This certainly isn’t always the case but I’ve noticed that men seem to troon out because it’s a fetish primarily, and the attention and validation seems like an added bonus, whereas for women it’s the opposite. They troon out to get attention and asspats, perhaps with a little sprinkle of yaoi fetishism tucked in there for good measure.

I'd say the truth is more nuanced than that. There are only two male troon phenotypes and there always have been: HSTS and AGP. The percentage of each have changed over the decades. It used to be 75/25 in favor of HSTS. Now it's more like 85/15 in favor of AGP.

Female transitioners cannot be so neatly divided into categories. There are self-hating butch lesbians (the classis FTM type), ROGDers (young women of any sexuality) who troon out because their most of their friend group does, the Gaydens (straight but weird girls obsessed with gay men)... and probably many more. One I personally know was an athletically gifted girl who was mortified over not being able to keep up with her male peers post-puberty.

It's not even just with Disney, but it's pretty common for child stars to have so many problems often leading to drug overdoses or mental breaks early on and I just get sad rather than get any enjoyment out of seeing them fuck up.

It's been said before, many many times, but it really sums up the whole "debate" when we see the response to any piece that is 90% pro trans and 10% pro (thing that trannies hate). The people who usually get silenced are just happy for any sort of media representation and while they would have preferred to get more coverage they don't mind the tranny side getting their chance to speak. Meanwhile the trannies throw a massive fit that anyone would let the opposing side speak at all because their entire ideology is retarded and inconsistent and the slightest bit of pushback will cause it to collapse.

It is precisely self loathing. There is no "primary" gender dysphoria with these people. It's always secondary, i.e induced by other mental disorders or environmental pressures and influences. The lifelong "classic" troon who wants to be the opposite sex of their own accord is very rare (and I don't condone those people trooning out either for the most part).
A lot of these mentally ill teenage girls and women want to be male because they see it as a way to become what they are attracted to (most of them are straight like MTFs), a way to "escape" being sexualised, and also a way to attain perceived social privileges. So many of them who would 10 years ago have become anorexic to hide their curves are now Ellen Page-ing it up by crushing (with binders) or cutting off their breasts and starving to look like UwU bois. It's a travesty.

I think they attack men in more abstract, broad brush ways; they also act like it’s a given fact that white men are The Worst (TM). But when it’s women there’s a specific behavior (that’s usually innocuous or necessary like ‘existing while menstruating’ or ‘having ads targeted at them’ as opposed to any problematic action that falls under ‘man[verb]ing’) or specific woman. It’s more jarring and harder to write off as a joke or rhetoric when they hate us for having bodies and birthing the human race. Plus men are harder to shame than women in social spheres, so the targeted “you need to do better” bullshit is wasted if they aim it at men who aren’t beta male feminist losers.

This makes me think about exactly why it's so irksome and unsettling when trannies insist on changing the language we use to talk about inherently female things-- like "birthing parent" or "uterus-haver", that kind of bullshit. Both from the MTF anf FTM perspectives it smacks of self-centeredness and entitlement on one hand while on the other they seethe and whine about how completely innocuous things like menstrual ads or feminine clothing is oppressive and offensive to them.

It's like the FTMs loathe that it just reminds them of what they will always be, and MTFs hate that it reminds them of what they'll never be.
