Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The reason I am so doom pilled is because it is the same on both sides. They get into the money and all bets are off. You have these morons saying get money out of politics but they do not mean it. They mean the other guys money.

The founding father's biggest mistake other than not seeing the danger that SCOTUS(and some did) as designed presents was not setting hard limits on every office because they assumed people would die at 55 or be poorer for being in office.

You have people like Biden and Sanders who have never earned an honest dime in their lives dictating the future of a country.

Trump was not much better being that he was born with a platinum spoon in his mouth but shit at least he gave slight indications that he saw some flaws. The rest of these assholes just want more for them. I still do not see Biden or Harris or Pelosi or Schumer or McConnell or McCarthy(not the good one)or Paul or Kennedy or Collins or Hirono or or or saying I am just going to donate my salary.

Fuck you have Feinstein and Waters making fortunes off of what amounts to insider trading!

I have literally seen the phrase "Assault Pistol" used.

For a machine pistol? No. They were referring to a standard Glock.

The founders never thought voting suffrage would be extended to niggers or women and hell Im sure they would have let their male nigger slaves vote over their wives.

There was the electoral college where regional interests chose their senators and mostly white male landovers voted along with poll tests as well though you generally get the idea.

They were well aware of corrupt old fucks and abuses of power.

They probably guessed America would naturally expand but never expected their WASP descendants to piss away the country to degenerates and kikes and foreign interests like the chinks and want cheap labor over actually doing their jobs.

While you should -never- underestimate the ability of republicans to pull defeat from the jaws of victory, 2022 is looking to be a bloodbath for the democrats. 2020 was only 'won' because the establishment Republicans -hated- Trump enough to look the other way for election irregularities. Yet, despite this, the Republicans gained in the House and only narrowly lost the Senate. So the Democrats have a few problems.

1: They can't pull the same shit twice. Republican establishments don't have anywhere near the impetus to look away with Trump out, and Biden has ensured more than a few are scared and regretting helping him in the first place.

2: The democrats attempt to get around this failed in all particulars. The filibuster stands, the no court-packing, and Manchin (And probably at least a couple other democrats) refuse to budge on this.

3: State legislatures, now very republican controlled, have quietly been instituting policy. Mind, most of it kicks in past 2022. But it signals clear intent to actually look at the election.

4: Just as you can never underestimate Republican's ability to lose, you also can never overestimate Democrats ability to overplay their hand. Green New Deal 2.0, Beef Limits, war hawking the Middle East, just every single thing the Harris-Biden Administration has done has been a clear ndnicator to the voting base that the Democrats are nuts. Speaking of...

5: Republican VOTERS are... VERY riled up. They feel gyped and that the election was stolen. Meanwhile, Trump is down... Biden is in office... what can the Democrats hope to use to rile their base, in the absence of being able to obviously cheat again?

They do their best to keep the definition as vague as possible. Not because there isn't a definition or that they can't articulate it, no quite the opposite. The definition is literally "Any gun", but if they say that they lose so they have to keep it as vague as possible while continually blurring the line from where they are at to where they wanna be.

This is also why they really, really hate this stuff going to the courts and why Roberts absolutely never let this stuff get into the SC while he was still the deciding vote. Roberts IS one of the so-called "Liberal Justices", but due to a complex series of reasons he has to toe the line of the Republican Party platform whenever he can to avoid a complex house of cards falling. Any case brought before SCOTUS would immediately have the question of the vagueness brought up and a definition forced to be made, which would scupper the whole thing as an -inevitable- result regardless of what the liberal side does. At which point, Roberts would be forced to vote against the bill.

Such a shaaaame that punting it out is no longer an option.
