Elliot Page, the Oscar-nominated star of “Juno” and Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy,” has announced he is transgender.

Elliot, formerly known as Ellen Page, addressed his social media followers saying:

“Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life. I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self. I’ve been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, your generosity and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place. I will offer whatever support I can and continue to strive for a more loving and equal society,” he wrote.

“I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive. To all the trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse, and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you, and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better,” Page continued.
Page uses both he/him and they/them pronouns, and describes himself as transgender and non-binary, meaning that his gender identity is neither man nor woman.
Nick Adams, GLAAD’s Director of Transgender Media, said “Elliot Page has given us fantastic characters on-screen, and has been an outspoken advocate for all LGBTQ people. He will now be an inspiration to countless trans and non-binary people. All transgender people deserve the chance to be ourselves and to be accepted for who we are. We celebrate the remarkable Elliot Page today.”
Page broke out from his native Canada in 2005 with the revenge thriller “Hard Candy.” Two years later, he starred in Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody’s landmark indie “Juno,” for which Page received an Academy Award nomination among other accolades.
HIs notable roles include Kitty Pryde in the “X-Men” series, Christopher Nolan’s “Inception,” “Whip It!” and Sony’s reboot of “Flatliners.” He has produced and starred in films such as “Tallulah” and “Freeheld,” and last year marked his directorial debut examining environmental racism faced by people of color and the First Nations communities of Canada.
Prior to transition, Page was one of the most visible out gay actors in Hollywood. The Tuesday announcement further enriches his legacy, and adds him to a small but growing number of out trans creators and stars in Hollywood. This includes performers (Laverne Cox, Trace Lysette, Brian Michael Smith) and creators (The Wachowski Sisters, “Transparent” creator Joey Soloway).
Last year, Variety broke the news of the groundbreaking overall content production deal that Netflix signed with Janet Mock, a noted trans storyteller and director of shows like “Pose” and “Hollywood.”

So whats next for her when the attention and euphoria dies down? As i said before, her career is going to tank. Maybe she discovers that her inner self is "black" and gets the first negroplastia? I legit feel bad for her, she clearly has issues and all the medical institutions have offered her is butchering her healthy body and pumping her full of hormones.
What’s next is the neodick surgery, which will probably come after Ellen has a new season of her show to hype.

Lol at being thrilled that a 5'1 girl with cut-off tits, 0 muscle mass and fake abs could beat you up, I would unironically watch this fight

None of the screenshots show the original caption but it's something like "Trans bb's first pair of swim trunks" which is a very masculine way to speak.

Also what 33 year old - male or female - even fucking talks like that? I'd expect shit like that from a 19 year old.

this is something that deeply confuses me every single time I see these women claiming to be men— they always still talk, behave, and usually look entirely female. The speech mannerisms, their body language, how they do their hair and their interests are usually still very much rooted in feminine stereotypes.

That being said, they claim that clothing and toys and interests aren’t gendered at all, so why wearing men’s clothes’ and following stereotypically male aesthetic patterns should be validating doesn’t make any sense. They simultaneously insist that they “feel” like men while claiming that gendered behavior is socially engineered, which means that none of that is inherent and is therefore somehow taught. If they truly believed that gender is a social construct, the very concept of being transgender makes no sense because there is zero grounds to base what gender a person should” be besides their birth sex....which is also transphobic now, so nevermind that.

They want to have their cake and eat it too, and it’s entirely at the loss of any credibility their community was slowly earning in the pre-tumblr world.

I would honest to god respect these people a micron more if they were honest about their intentions and just said “I just want to look like a frat boy and use male pronouns” instead of insisting it’s this deep rooted psychological thing. 99% of all tranny shit I’ve seen is purely aesthetic in nature, a mimicry of what they think is cool or hot that the opposite sex has and they somehow have decided is impossible to achieve without uprooting their entire identity.

Just be a tomboy.

There is something so uncanny about how Page looks now. Empty eyes, wrinkled skin and having the fashion sense of a teen boy stuck in 2007... it’s unsettling.

Humans evolved to distinguish between the sexes, and to engage in sexual displays. It's part of the mating process, and humans are not unique among animals in this regard. But in troons that part of their brain is broken. That's why you get completely incoherent sexual displays like a hulking dude in a dress staring down a petite woman, abusing a shop keeper, or threatening to kick Ben Shapiro's ass. Or drag kings carefully selecting an outfit, coiffing their hair, trimming their whispy mustaches into the perfect shape, selecting a song, and vogeuing on a catwalk at a nightclub. (Is vogeuing the right word? I don't care.) They can adopt signifiers of the opposite sex, but the behavior is more deeply ingrained.

The wrinkled skin is likely just because she’s a borderline anorexic white woman entering her mid 30s, but the teen boy fashion sense doesn’t really bug me as much. Plenty of women, especially lesbians, have a sort of youthful boyish fashion sense because it’s a bit more freeing than the standard feminine fashion trends. The issue with page is how weirdly attention-whorish the behavior is.

Ellen Paige has weird looking nips. Like one is smaller than the other one lol should had that fixed when she lopped off her tits.
What are you, some kind of nippologist?

You don't even have to cut off body parts for that-- just be deliberately ugly.

In the real world a 5'1 man is not posting shirtless pictures of himself to instagram to fawning female adulation
In the real world a 5'1 man is fighting on the floor of a bagel shop to be treated with some basic human dignity

I've encountered one of these in the wild. I went to Stone Cold Creamery once because why not. The person at the register looked like a big fat bearded man. Granted, "he" had a few obvious feminine features but I chalked it up to "him" being a gay fat guy. Then "he" spoke and revealed herself to be a woman! She certainly had gone through the trouble of having her breasts removed and chugging enough ungodly amounts of testosterone to grow facial hair, but her voice was a dead give-away. This was a woman attempting to LARP as a man. She almost fooled me too. Not only that, but her mannerisms and other subtle behaviors were also feminine. Despite trying her hardest to defeminize herself, she still ended up making it painfully obvious that she's still, and always will be, a woman.

I saw one in the wild yesterday at Wal-Mart. She had a huge "HE/HIM" button on her shirt and kind of looked like an effeminate teen boy. She spoke and had a complete woman's voice.

I don't get this trend of women wanting to look like fat or scrawny teen boys instead of women. Teenage boys are the most annoying age/sex class of human.

So she's a menopausal woman now right? Did she get the full hysterectomy? Can male hormones in troon therapy doses make you go into menopause even if you keep your female internal organs?
She’s not exactly menopausal, but if she really plans on committing to this long-term it would probably be a good idea to get a hysterectomy. Buck Angel’s uterus and Fallopian tubes atrophied as a result of long-term testosterone use and the ensuing sepsis nearly killed him.

She looks so unnerving. How can anyone looking at her not think there is something profoundly wrong with her? Even if you do believe in all the 'born in the wrong body' bollocks, surely just seeing how emaciated she is would make anyone think there was something wrong? The amount of people celebrating this descent into mental illness just to show how woke they are is horrifying.

It's sick, she looks and acts fucking sick and nobody is allowed to say it. In ten years the adulating pieces of shit will be all "wah wah why did no one care she needed help"?

They want to be the softest version of a male possible. Very few FtMs like masculinity. It explains the popularity of things like yaoi and K-pop boybands among FtMs. All of the guys featured in those have skinny bodies, no facial hair, soft features, are non-threatening, and are not masculine.
