A leading Black Lives Matter activist was shot in the head on Sunday morning “following numerous death threats as a result of her activism”.

Police were called shortly before 3:00am to reports of gunshots in Consort Road, in Southwark, south London, where a young woman, named online as Sasha Johnson, was suffering from a gunshot injury.

Ms Johnson, who remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries, is a BLM activist and mother of two. There have so far been no arrests in connection with the incident.

Her organisation Taking the Initiative Party (TTIP) confirmed that she was the victim of the shooting, writing online: “It is with great sadness that we inform you that our own Sasha Johnson has been brutally attacked and sustained a gunshot wound to her head.

“She is currently in intensive care and in a critical condition. The attack happened in the early hours of this morning, following numerous death threats as a result of her activism.

Ms Johnson's organisation, TTIP, shared this image on social media as she was in a critical condition in hospital
“Sasha has always been actively fighting for black people and the injustices that surround the black community, as well as being both a member of BLM and a member of Taking the Initiative Party’s Executive Leadership Committee.

“Sasha is also a mother of 2 and a strong, powerful voice for our people and our community.

“Let’s all come together and pray for Sasha, pray for her recovery and show our support to her family and loved ones. #prayforsashajohnson”.

Detective Chief Inspector Jimi Tele of the Metropolitan Police said: “We are all hoping that this young woman’s condition improves. Our investigation is in its early stages and urgent enquiries are under way to establish the circumstances.

"I would appeal to the residents of Consort Road and the surrounding area to check any doorbell or dashcam footage for any suspicious activity that may relate to this investigation."

The only surprising part of this story is that she got shoot and not stabbed considering this happened in Londonistan, stab capital of the UK.

If its for blm/political reasons then My money is on a white guy or Eastern European (Slav) doing the deed.

If its non political reasons then it's a black guy

Those men looked on their 40s, were notably overweight and wore soccer shirts

My first reaction is how the fuck did she got shot and the police aren't involved?

Stabbed, various flavours of assaulted that I could get but randomly shot? And specifically in the head?

I'm smelling fake. And that no doubt sounds very harsh but I would genuinely believe someone put a air gun pellet into her head for press coverage more than some random criminal scum with a gun decided to shoot her.

Edit: looks like a genuine shooting. That's on me.

Saturday night at 3am, so I am inclined to think it's most likely to be that she got into a drunken argument with someone or as part of a group, or even just that she tried to intervene in some shit while thinking she was a woke black woman who could save her peoples. That escalated, and they didn't realize the type of person they were arguing with, and he ended up pulling a gun on the loud black woman.

It's pretty shitty, but what makes it worse is that if she didn't have connections to BLM then she would just be another statistic of urban crime with no media attention.
 
This also happened to proto-BLM activist Darren Seals in Ferguson. Given that he became a strident critic of BLM the organization and Democrats calling them all grifters it's not completely out of the question that he got Seth Rich'd but it's also fucking Ferguson.

You don't end up in the hospital in critical condition because someone bonked you with an airgun. It's almost certainly not fake, regardless of who shot her, why, or whether slavery advocates deserve it.

If she's actually in critical condition I agree and will happily eat crow when proven wrong. There's so few shootings though that it specifically happened to her AND was specifically into her head as is being reported that I feel suspicious that a relatively minor injury might be being blown up.

As far as deserving it goes as far as I'm concerned being dumb isn't deserving of a shooting and if it is she's not even at the midway point of many who deserve it more. Hope she's okay.
