They should have made Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper remastered games for the PS4, just like they did with Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet & Clank and Spyro The Dragon

DD is a great game. But my take of the century will have to be that AA1, after playing the 2-6, is not all that good. To me, it's JFA-tier, and I genuinely like JFA. I honestly think that Turnabout Goodbyes is only think I can come to the game for to play and ultimately enjoy, in the same as Farewell, My Turnabout. Rise from the Ashes is fucking trash too. I would rather watch someone play that slog, than kill myself trying to.Ace Attorney sperging:
Dual Destinies gets a lot of unfair hate. I really don't understand why so many people consider it one of the worst entries in the series. I don't think it's as good as the first game or Trials and Tribulations, but I really enjoyed reading through it.
SoJ, for most fans, primarily revolves around The Magical Turnabout (2nd Case) and Turnabout Revolution (5th Case) as the "great cases." Unlike you, I like the third case, but overall with that godforsaken kingdom's court case, I cannot stand the Divine Séance mechanic. It is a death sentence if you're just brain farting [or just ready to go through the present evidence motions] at the start of a trial. But I guess it's fitting, given how lore-wise, that mechanic fucked over Khura'in's defense attorneys. On the other hand, I really didn't like Spirit of Justice. I didn't like the third case at all, save for the return of Maya. I didn't like the fourth case at all, where it felt like, "Oh shit! We forgot to give Athena something to do!" The first part of the last case (basically, everything with Paul Atishon) is awesome, but then quickly turns to ridiculousness, especially the resolution, to the point where I feel like Phoenix and Apollo's stories have jumped the shark (in the "Where the hell do they go from here?" kind of way).
At least the DLC case was good.
I honestly don't get all the praise this one got from fans.
Ubisoft open world games are fun if you only play one every 2-3 years.Far Cry 3 and its consequences have been a disaster for the gamer race.

"'And let's not forget, you can buy what's termed 'timesavers'. So first we buy your game, Ubisoft, and then you charge us more money to not have to play it? If I paid double price up-front, would you just not give it to me at all?" - YahtzeeYou've played one Ubisoft open world game, you've played them all.

Could be worse, could be a Bardlike.Seeing 'roguelike' in a game's description makes me automatically lose interest in it.
Spyro was low poly enough where they needed artistic interpitation to bring up the models to modern standards. Sly isn't and any remake wouldn't need to overextend itself as such.Anyway, I feel a big part of the identity of the original Sly trilogy is its distinct art style, and as cool as it would be to see the older Sly games remade, I'm not sure if there's really anyone capable of recapturing that style. Part of me wasn't too thrilled with some of the art design decisions made for the Spyro remakes, and I can easily see something like that being done to Sly's games as well.
My biggest problem with Persona 5 is the writing for the main cast. 3 and 4 did a pretty good job of having the teenage cast look and act like teenagers but for some reason 5 made all the characters obnoxious angst ridden brats. I did not like the writing at all even if the gameplay was the best in the series.
Another unpopular opinion, but: I really disliked the P4 cast. They felt fake to me. Like a bunch of anime cliches trying to butter me up. I get they're supposed to be subversions, but they never followed through and the characters end up with arrested development as a result. The male cast members especially since they had to service the games obsession with making the MC look like the "biggest chad evar."I love persona 4 for that reason the characters feel like real kids in school.
They gossip, hang out, and have realistic reactions to all the super weird shit that they find
Did we play the same games? You could argue for P3s cast that they are better than 4 objectively but 5? You got your games mixed up bud 5 is the one where everyone loves the edgy Chad mc.Another unpopular opinion, but: I really disliked the P4 cast. They felt fake to me. I like P5 and especially P3's cast because they felt like they had lives of their own that didnt revolve around the MC, even if that meant making them act like stupid assholes.
Demon souls and ds1 are the only games that matterI don't really like Dark Souls 3 very much compared to the other Soulsborne, except 2. I feel it tried to be Dark Souls and Bloodborne only to end up being an obnoxious version of both.
A lot of people complain about poise and I could too but I won't, except insofar as it made enemy behavior and planning more difficult to assess.
What I notice is how the hardest fights are with mid-sized foes. Not giant boss sized foes, not enemies with the same stature as yourself but the mid sized ones. Most because they have the girthy swings and splash damage of big boys while not being as slow or telegraphing.
It just feels wrong that Vordt is easier than the Irithyll Knight at the end of Undead Settlement. Or two Deep Priests being harder than a hulking fire demon. Took almost no damage to the demon or vordt, had a devil of a time with those minibosses. Still won but it was rough.
>inb4 get gud
Hey, if there's something I just don't get about ds3 let me know. I want to get gud at it but I don't have complaints about the other ones. I think those others eased you into things better. Ds1 gave you at least 5 estus with a way of having more if you knew how. DS2 has its healing consumables, Bloodborne has generous starting stamina.
People clearly care more about DS3 than Sekiro, notice how that's a forgotten one that nobody bothers comparing stuff to.Demon souls and ds1 are the only games that matter
Ds3 is overall disliked by older fans
As much as I enjoyed Sekiro, I have no real desire to play the game again. At least with DS3 I can try a different build or duck around with PvP, Sekiro has none of that.People clearly care more about DS3 than Sekiro, notice how that's a forgotten one that nobody bothers comparing stuff to.
In P4, besides kanji and naoto, the whole cast just unironically loves the MC the moment they meet him for no discernable reason. It's weird. P5 is the opposite. The crew call you a snitch, a liar, call the cops on you, stalk you, blackmail you, etc. Sakura talks the maddest shit at you and its great. The development reminded me of the best parts of P3.Did we play the same games? You could argue for P3s cast that they are better than 4 objectively but 5? In p4 the characters have hobbies, jobs, and secrets that define them and that add to their personality to make them stand out from the MC
I can remember alot about the cast from p4 the most I remember about p5 is girl gamer and cat
They don't immediately all like you they are nice to you because you are new to town and the nephew of a well respected police chiefIn P4, besides kanji and naoto, the whole cast just unironically loves the MC the moment they meet him for no discernable reason. As for how memorable each cast is, its subjective i guess. Ryuji just talking about his mom being disappointed in him for being an absolute fuckup was way more human to me than any of anime drama from 4.
lol, you're getting really defensive over a jrpg bro. Chill, it's literally an opinions thread.I'm sure that social friendliness a weird concept to you
Opinions are like assholes everyone has onelol, you're getting really defensive over a jrpg bro. Chill, it's literally an opinions thread.
