Someone mentioned bail. This is legal aspect that tends to confuse people. Basically if you make bail, you sacrifice or put up property or money as a certainty you will show up for court. You will also have terms placed on your release. So anything from "don't commit any crimes" to case specific things like "do not have any contact with a certain individual".

You can post the full bail if it's granted, but most people get a bond. This is where you pay 10%. A bail bondsman puts up the total bail. The idea is if you show up, they collect the fee. If you don't show up, they lose their bail. Now what a lot of people don't realize is that it's a common requirement that you have a cosigner.

Pro-tip, never cosign someone's bail bond. The bail bondsman can go after either person for their money. It's not like the TV shows or movies. They aren't tracking down the criminal. That takes too much time. They are going after the cosigner who has a job and a stable residence.

Cosigning a bail agreement is like taking out a home loan with someone already on their way to jail or prison.

Boogie most likely just posted the full bail. And the terms of his release will most likely be pretty basic.

He has to driving his lawyer fucking nuts by posting shit. And his idiot fans encouraging the behavior are not helping.

I’m so sick of Boogie’s brain-dead supporters. They’re either sleazeballs like him or too slow to realize what a scumbag he is.
I wouldn't be surprised if they’re all just feigning hospitality so they can give themselves virtue points.

"no one should have to worry about what'll happen to me should they have to defend their home/lives"

The very fact that abooger shot in the air and not at the unarmed man infront of him shows he wasn't in danger.

Boogie says he's in the right, nearly every other Youtuber is saying he was justified because they want to be able to do the same if they encounter a similar situation. I don't know why they can't say they are a fan and don't think he should be punished, but he shouldn't have fired randomly in the air because when the bullet came down, it could have killed an innocent bystander.

If the whole firearms possession thing is true, that he wasn't supposed to have access to one to begin with, that alone could really fuck him over. Will the prosecutors have a reason to go hard on it though? Or any of it? Probably not.

It's honestly just a side-effect of Twitter. They don't bother doing anything beyond a cursory search and take everything that they're told as gospel, and that's the way Boogie likes it. They all parrot the same lines about him and it just drips with virtue-signalling and blind-fealty. The good part is that most found out about him for the first time because of this and the small boost to his profile will be short-lived. They will quickly forget about him.

Why did it take half a year for legal consequences to take effect? I would've guessed a visit from the cops back in September would've gotten the ball rolling right then and there.
They had to check and see if Arkansas has jail and prison cells big enough for him, and if the prison cafeteria had the capabilities of feeding him.

I'm surprised how many people itt didn't know what bail is, and why it might be a good idea. But sure, go sit in a jail cell for a year until your trial to own the Jews or something.

This has been gone over, over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. It is a castle doctrine state and that covers your front porch. There is a general duty to retreat but not in your own home.
Weird bc what I’ve brought up was that the governor was pushing it in 2021. Maybe I misread it there’s a change.

media: looking further I find site that said yes and sites that said no. Weird.

Since some people have shared comments from the petition, I figured I'd share my favorite comment that I found:

Anyone who isn't an absolute idiot pleads not guilty. Why would he plead to the worst possible outcome without even trying to cut a deal? He may be stupid, but he's not that stupid.
Yeah so, legal layman or retard here. Is the typical order of an instance like this to plea not guilty then negotiate a guilty plea before the trial date? Makes sense for the district to go a little easier on you if you save them the time and money of court dates.

I believe that was signed into law January 14, 2021, if it's this law:

We'll see if it's retroactive, because Boogie did his "warning shot" back in 2020. In any event, it doesn't really impact the outcome, as whatever protections castle doctrine gives, Boogie would have them, since he was actually in his house.

In any event, Arkansas is apparently now a straight up stand your ground state, although it was merely a castle doctrine state when Boogie went full retard.

Yes, because if you just plead guilty, what do you have to negotiate with? It's anticipated that a defendant is going to plead not guilty, and possibly engage in motion practice before the trial, such as to exclude evidence like contraband seized in violation of the Fourth Amendment. If the defense wins that motion in a drug case, the case is basically over and they usually give up, and if they lose, the defendant usually pleads guilty to something.

A plea bargain is sometimes not even reached until the jury has already been empaneled.

That even happened to me when I got jury duty. So I got to sit around for six hours drinking old coffee and eating vending machine food, only to be called upstairs, and then immediately dismissed because the case pled out.

Yup, same thing happened to me when called for jury duty.

Still, I love the fantasy of Boogie trying to defend himself - being his own representative. Being held in contempt when he wouldn't stop fuming about his divorce and his online haters.
