He'd be an idiot not to plea this down, especially if he can prove he took even the most basic steps to get a restraining order or something. I'm wondering if he can get it all the way down to a misdemeanor.
Why would he do that? How could he whore for views that way? This whole stunt was just like the IP2 shit, even if that fat fuck would claim to be so much better than those guys. At least they stick to content mace. Boogie shot off a content bullet in the direction of a school. OTOH that makes Boogie sound kind of based, albeit in an Eric Harris/Dylan Klebold kind of way.

Shame. The last stand of Boogaloo Boogie would have been an epic ending to this thread.

I legitimately think he is mentally ill enough to the point where he does it acts as a self soothing technique. He gets high on benzos and disconnects and pretends to teen girls he lusts after (allegedly) love and adore him and look up to him. He is so far gone.
Boogie revels in his narcissistic-hedonistic lifestyle. If he can't have it, he will buy it or make it up.

This struck me as interesting because I never remember Boogie saying this, and I've been following the entire saga. Out of curiosity I clicked on Glenn's profile and it turns out he is friends with one Steven Williams.
I suppose it's not absolutely impossible the dumbest cop in the entire world said this, but I don't believe it happened. Cops should generally be ignored on most complex legal issues, because they think they know more than they do, but they're generally pretty solid on the ones directly related to their job, and what you're allowed to do with guns is definitely in their wheelhouse.

Unless this was the dumbest ticket writer they had on the force, a cop would know that Arkansas law explicitly states you have no duty to retreat in your own home or even the area directly connected to it, the "curtilage." While it's somewhat vague what the full extent of this is, your own front porch certainly qualifies.

ETA: Also if this was actually a dispatcher, as some have suggested, the dispatcher shouldn't have been giving out bunk legal advice in the first place, or tactical advice that could get him killed by a dangerous criminal, for that matter.
Is there consideration by the judge about discharging Chad's gun in a residential zone or do they only care about the assault on Frank?
That's why he's under arrest instead of just told "don't do that again you dumb fat fuck."

From the warrant:

He might not have been charged with anything, or only charged with some lesser offense like reckless discharge, or whatever Arkansas charges you with for that. It's pretty clear the prosecution is basing its "extreme indifference" element for aggravated assault on the fact that this occurred in a residential neighborhood.

I'm going to make a prediction: he's going to get a plea deal like Ralph got. Felony conviction, suspended sentence. No jail time.
No doubt. He still loses regardless.

Whatever sponsors he managed to con into giving his hedonistic ass money will fuck right off after this.

Any claims of getting free shit from a company will have his detractors reee'ing until they get a formal statement.

His stupid ass has given his detractors all the ammunition they could ever need to fuck him sideways.

He is a pussy for not following up on his threats. That's like the definition of a pussy.
He was stupid for making the threats, a pussy for not carrying them out, and a stupid pussy for managing to commit a felony while bitching out, instead of just bitching out and calling the cops, which would have just left him as a stupid pussy, rather than a stupid pussy facing jail time.
If that's true, he should be thanking his lucky stars that the DA didn't see that. That could very well have made this attempted murder.
The video makes it obvious he deliberately missed. It also makes it obvious he was pointing the gun at Hassle, while looking directly at him, then pointed the gun in a random direction and fired it, continuing to look at Hassle, making it obvious he wasn't even looking where he was shooting.

Boogie should go to prison. He'd finally lose some weight.
He'll find a way to stay fat in there, don't you worry. I'm sure they can't be assed to cart a fatass like him anywhere so he'll probably just lie in his bed and pretend to be having a deep existential train of thought (which will inevitably turn out to be about food) and then whine when he comes out and throw MORE weight on to "make up for lost time" or something like that.

Adjudicated Mentally Ill Generally requires the evaluation and affidavit of Three Physicians submitted before a judge. Typically it involves handing over or establishing Permanent Guardianship over a Mentally Ill relative and their personal affairs. One of the better known examples of this was Britney Spears, following her batshit insane breakdowns. A Judge granted Permanent Guardianship to her father. It's sort of the other end of the Involuntary Committal. You don't generally declare someone to be adjudicated as Mentally Ill to take away their guns. This is more the fallout from "if they are legitimately incapable of managing their own affairs, they probably should not have a Nine strapped to their hip." An elderly relative with Alzheimer's is another situation where you might see something like this used. If Dear Old Dad didn't setup certain plans and proxies prior to dementia setting in, such as some form of Power of Attorney for the relative least likely to rob him blind, then once his mind turns to mush you're going to have to get the doctors and a Judge involved to get his affairs in order. This is generally a viewed as a recommended time to take away Dad's shootin' irons. (Disturbingly "brain befuddled old man with a gun" is probably the biggest reason a lot of EMS started wearing vests. Finding "Great Granpaw" in his easy chair with a pistol in each hand and a loaded shotgun across his knees as he proclaims "I Ain't Goin'!" tends to upset the emergency services providers something fierce.)
With any kind of "muh mental health" defense doesn't it result in being institutionalized?
Boogie posted on Twitter earlier today that he appreciated the love and support that the local community has afforded him. Being a skeptic of literally everything Boogie says I wanted to research this myself. I went to the comment section of his local Fox Affiliate and yes, most of the comments are supportive. But I came across this comment by a guy named Glenn.

Also, he is the owner-operator of a gaming store in Fayetteville Arkansas.

The EXACT same one Boogie has shown in various videos. Glenn is visible in this video uploaded early last year, Boogie mentions him by name.

It is fair to say Boogie knows the man in the comment personally, having shown him in videos before. Boogie is friends with this man and likely told him stuff he didn't tell Twitter, YouTube or TikTok, stuff like THE FACT COPS TOLD HIM NOT TO ENGAGE FRANK HASSLE EVEN IF HE ENTERED THE HOUSE AND TO LEAVE OUT THE BACK. Maybe Boogie is in bigger trouble than we all thought.
I can't wait to hear the 911 call

I'm curious to know how much public pressure the DA was under to prosecute. You'd have to wonder how many people sent that drama alert video to them where boogie was going on about "how I'll take pleasure in killing you" and daring frank to show up.

As with so much regarding the law, it depends. A good rule of thumb is that any kind of mandatory institutionalization winds up being twice as long as the penitentiary stay. If the judge rules something like 180 hours of community service plus 120 hours of weekend lockup, a commiserate insanity ruling would see him in and out of psych wards for the better part of a year, getting day releases and being made to sit down with a therapist on the regular.

Edit to avoid douplepost

I maintain that some lawyer somewhere local got a complaint from on of Boogie's neighbors about the incident and used the Good Old Boys' network to pressure the DA. I'm fair certain the local DA's office has some over-educated and under-paid paralegal whose only job is to weed out the cranks.

This is the face of a broken lying, manipulative piece of shit. Still not enough, but the fact that he knows we are enjoying this is enjoyment enough.
you're either not serious or you're giving that fatass too much credit

Like I said back in october...

Tbh I can see this as Boogie's endgame. Live life like a fat fuck and a fencesitter and end up getting arrested for pointing a gun at someone while using shit trigger discipline. It's really a shame he didn't shoot the fucker though. I would've cried if the news used shit like this as his cover picture.
