Idiots who are against castle doctrine laws say they allow people who are in situations like boogie's to kill people, yet Arkansas has castle doctrine and he was charged for a lot less than shooting Frank. Its almost like people who oppose castle doctrine laws have no idea what they even are.
This is seriously a problem invented by the so-called "liberal media." They undeniably have a "liberal bias," but they aren't anything but self-serving and don't give a fuck about anything or anyone. If pushing a "right-wing agenda" would serve their purposes better, they'd do that.
But mostly leftist anti-gun propaganda spreads this bullshit about "castle doctrine" and "stand your ground" laws, without even knowing what they are or what they do, and make wild claims that they protect Wild West type shit like randomly shooting Girl Scouts going door to door selling cookies. Unfortunately, a lot of people end up actually believing this shit and then doing it, then act amazed when they up charged with a crime.
This is why anyone who keeps a gun or other weapon for home defense needs to know the law
in their own state. It may be better to be tried by twelve than carried by six, but having neither happen is much better. This means have an actual home defense plan, preferably one that involves any resulting dead bodies being inside the house and the door obviously having been broken.
Tactically, to come at you, they have to get in, and once they do, they're in a home you know intimately and they know nothing about, so they're at a serious disadvantage and on top of that no cop except in the most cucked states will even dream of arresting you if they end up dead. YMMV.
So Boogie had no "duty to retreat" legally, but imagine he had just kept the door closed, and told Hassle once, clearly, get the fuck off my property, then called the cops without saying he did so. The cops would have pulled up on Hassle obviously acting like a complete asshole and trespassing. He would have been the one arrested.
