He's getting hit for his retarded "warning shot", which are usually pretty illegal since they're completely uncontrolled and can hurt bystanders. Opening the door with a gun is spergy but alone wouldn't have fucked him

And the crazier thing is that if he had shot and killed Frank Hassle he could at least claim that he felt he was in danger and was fighting for his life. It wouldn't have worked most likely, but he could have tried. It's at least a valid defense to attempt.

There's no defense at all for "warning shots." They're always a bad idea. Even brandishing to get someone to back off is probably a bad idea.

ya, instead of aggravated assault, he would be looking at manslaughter or 2nd degree murder.

He was wrong in every way. Mother fucker never leaves his house and opens the door to a threat, with a loaded weapon.

He had no defense if he actually shot Frank, even this 'castle doctrine' he thinks he had. Frank wasn't a threat besides bruising his ego.

Now, once this is all done, he will try to spin the story as he's the martyr for all creators with trolls showing up to his house. Mark it.

Well, "defenses" exist in theory, but not if you couch your warning shot as a warning shot, and you have to make a credible case for reasonable fear of your life leading up to the shot which did not hit the threat.

It also helps if the shot was aimed remotely near the threat and not explicitly aimed away from the threat before pulling the trigger...

And Boogie has done none of the things required to invoke any of the potential defenses.

You can approach someone's door uninvited. Otherwise the postman would be trespassing. And Frank actually did (begrudgingly) leave the premises after being asked to. There's no case here for tresspass.
