That's been happening more and more frequently recently, and the admin doesn't seem to care and never really addresses why. I have no idea why she keeps the site at this point.

Nah I've done this before, when you want to stop a site getting invaded you take it down for as long as you have to, perhaps even permenantly. I've taken sites down for weeks just to keep people out. No site at all is better than a bad site.

She's very defensive and has a massive chip on her shoulder over being a female coder, being young (she took over lolcow at 19 and is now 20) as well as being non-white. Her ethnicity makes her especially sensitive to criticism, she has un-ironically said SJW talking points before on this topic. This is especially ironical because she tries to keep lolcow a neutral site in terms of political discussion. Ultimately, the reason the unlisted board on lolcow was deleted is because she was tired of being called a tranny. While she is not a tranny, this apparently hurt her feelings.

I think I just found a wife.

I've been informed by ambassadors that Lolcow Farm is currently in midst of civil war with these being the core problems:

1. Site is administrated by a man.
2. Brown woman headmin pretending to run the site is neurotic and shit.
3. Site staff has trannies on duty.

Some incidents in the escalation of civil war include:
- Tranny jannies have locked the MTF thread.
- Mods are implementing martial law in the meta threads and are banning everyone dissenting.
- Schisms in the Discord resulting in splinter Discords.
- Headmin brown woman is threatening to dox dissidents.

The world wonders.

Someone posted in /meta/ that Ian is still running the site, and or involved behind the scenes, which seems to be a back and forth debate between posts about tranny jannies and the mtf thread being locked (as well as the KiwiFarms thread).

I was a mod a long time ago, and he became involved after the second admin left and the third joined. He joined our skype chat after we'd had a problem with something in the Onision thread, so he was there looking at IPs etc. Once the mess had been sorted out, he remained in the Skype chat. Shortly after, he told the mods and jannies that we weren't allowed to delete posts, or ban anyone without asking permission first. This eventually led into the userbase thinking we were lazy, because we could literally never get a response from him, and a little while later, we were removed as farmhands at a town hall. So he has been involved behind the scenes, and we were specifically told at that time to not say anything about it, as he had stepped down and everyone was supposed to be under the impression he was gone and totally hands off with the site.

As far as the rest goes, there are apparently two people on the moderation team who have been sharing the information that Ian is supposedly still involved in the site, and has had to help out the previous two admins with coding and fixes. He also still owns the site, which if true is interesting because he supposedly totally passed it off and the other former admins had to pay for it and everything. The only other info that's seemed to come out aside from stuff about Ian and his involvement, is that the current admin apparently does not want to run the site anymore, but her mods are all telling her she should stay, because apparently they can't code and they'd be fucked if she left. Considering some of the screenshots that have been posted, I could believe it if she said she didn't want to deal with the site. Especially considering she seems to get dunked on a lot in /meta/.

Oh, may be worth listing that a couple of days ago child porn was spammed all over the site and stayed up for 45 minutes to an hour before it was removed. Reasoning for that taking so long was something along the lines of "we have personal lives and don't get paid to moderate this site and remove gore and child porn."

But tl;dr is yes, Ian was involved as far as I know for at least the duration of the first two admins after him being around, because he was in our skype group and communicated with us, and the mess in /meta/ and the cp debacle was a shitshow.

This is why you never, EVER, welcome trannies into your community and especially don’t let them have positions of power. No matter how “chill” and “non-SJW” they seem, how good they are at computers, or even in the rare cases where they’ve made improvements to the site, it will always end up like this.

These troons were tolerated, I imagine, because they laughed along with “41%” jokes and acted very much like the male ‘Chan miscreants they started life as (and still are, despite whatever AGP brain rot hentai has given them). Don’t fall for it!

/tg/ is the worse offender for this in my experience since/tg/ is my main board. Troon threads and jannies who ban threads telling them to fuck off and stop making gross bait threads. It's getting worse. We had an entire thread with some nasty mtf posting selfies of his 'boobs' and ass and everyone was telling him to go dilate. It stayed up for hours but revealing boobs in the draw thread or character art? SHUT IT DOWN. Fuck 4chan mods.

It seems troons have a lot of time on their hands because rarely do they work or have a social life so they fit right in for moderating things with a fine tooth comb and banning shit they don't like.

I also don't think that the current admin did much good either though, and in some cases, ai think she contributed to alienating users, and brought some of those callouts on herself with things she said. Granted some, or most, of the comments she made about the userbase were supposed to be private, but when you're the admin of a site like that, unfortunately you have to keep that kind of stuff to yourself, because people are definitely going to leak stuff and start drama. I don't think she deserved all the harassment she got, but at the same time I can understand where a lot of the anger and frustration came from. The farmhands she chose I don't have much opinion on, and most of the complaints I saw regarding them were for overly policing the fakeboy and GC threads, which I never frequented anyway. I do think the issue with the gore and cp spam was huge, and I didn't like the response of "we aren't always online and we do this for free, so if we dont get to it immediately then whatever". You should have enough people as farmhands or jannies from different timezones to clear things out, and sure you're not being paid, but you also made the choice to take on the site, and everyone knows that stuff is unfortunately something that comes with it.

At the end of the day, I don't think a new admin will fix anything. Every time the admin has changed (5 times, this will be admin 6), it's just gotten worse, and honestly, I don't think anyone who uses the site will ever be satisfied, no matter who runs it. I think it's gotten to the point where it's already peaked, and has been dying a slow death for a long time now. You're right, it's a no brainer as to why she's done with it, and there should be no confusion from the userbase.

Every new admin starts out thinking they're gonna make all the changes and make everybody happy, but fairly quickly they realize that's impossible. No matter what they do, someone is going to whine about something.
If/when a new admin takes over, its gonna be more of the same: they'll get praised and love bombed by the users for a few months, then the complaints will start flooding in, admin will hire new farmhands, the complaints will get louder and longer, admin will give up on trying to please people, the calls for admin to step down will start, admin and farmhands will ignore, admin will eventually step down and hand over the keys to the kingdom to someone else, rinse and repeat.
Here's hoping that the new admin will just delete the whole thing as soon as they get control of it and put the poor horse out of its misery.
As for the CP and gore posts, it's definitely gross and should be removed more quickly, but I'm pretty sure the only reason it happens so frequently is because of the reaction it gets. Whoever is doing it is clearly getting a kick out of all the anons melting down over it. Hell, I get a kick out of the anons melting down over it.
Edit: also my tinfoil hat might be showing but I have a hunch that the gore/CP poster is actually a farmhand.

Anyone that takes over will get the "omg we love you admin-sama!" treatment for a few months, much the same as the previous ones did, and then it will be back to complaints, and telling them they're the worst admin in the history of admins. Like I said before, whomever the next admin is, they won't be able to please everyone. At this point for them to have even a moderately successful admin, they'd need someone who doesn't take the complaints personally, and will just do what they believe is best for the site.

I'm genuinely curious as to what Ian has to say about it, because he is definitely still involved. The reason that no one could shut the site down at this point, even if they wanted to, is because it's still in his hands, even though everyone pretends it isn't.

One of the current farmhands on admins team was leaking info, specifically about admin wanting to leave but everyone kissing her ass to stay because no one else could do the job, her apparently not being able to code much so Ian was always helping out (which checks out to a point because even under the 4th admin when I was a farmhand he was still involving himself and taking over), and the fact Ian still owns the website. This is why I said when you're admin, you have to keep info to yourself. Someone is always going to have a big mouth. Also no idea why a farmhand would trust a "scrote" with that info, especially granted they had past conflict with the current admin, but oh well. That's how leaks happen, and it's just more info to share.
