The only reason I can think of to do this would be to get sympathy from the tumblrite "muh mental illness" crowd. But being genetically bald seems really unlikely. If she had an actual medical issue that she couldn't control, she would totally try to milk it.

The “traditional” aesthetic is based on religious nuclear families. That was a problem with the Skeptic Atheist movement to begin with. You need science plus a moral code, because of it's just science, you can justify all sorts of things because you are looking at people with drives, but not want to examine the consequences of what following those drives can do to others and society.

Science is pointless if you are unwilling to fact check and verify the sources and methods of studies. It's okay to have opinions based on your instincts and personal morals, which aren't backed by a paper written by some strangers.

Can I ask who we is and what you mean by instincts? Is this the Jungian archetype of the shadow? Our prehuman, animal past with concerns limited to survival and reproduction when we weren't self-conscious. I think human nature often gets the better of us against all reason and rationality we are emotional beings shaped by our stresses since birth.
