The thing with Sweden is that they were among the firsts that played along with the trannies. I actually think they were the first country that allowed people to legally change their gender. Which may sound good to the trans folk but that means that all the laws about it were written in the 70's and written in the perspective people had on trannies during that time. Which means that Sweden is probably the country with the hardest laws on transitioning. For an example you need to present as your chosen gender for two years before you're legally allowed to change sex, and you need to change your sex before you're allowed to get grs.

I'm surprised though that it was just now forbidden. As far as I were aware it was never a thing in Sweden to begin with.

In fact I found Sweden system now ridiculously stupid when it comes to detransitioners. I saw a thread on Detrans about an ex-TIF who struggled to go to swimming pool because it's still male on her ID card, and she couldn't changed it because she has to wait for another 2 years and they see that her wanting to keep beard as a sight of not being feminine. Even though she's born female... She doesn't have a birthright to be a woman anymore. As far as I remember she was contemplating about identifying as non-binary because of it too. (Though she's pretty autistic and unstable like troons here. It almost look like, even with a 'strict' system, it is a system that's fine with exploiting the "undesirable")


I can't help but found tranny gender recognition but an establishment homophobia enforcement of strict gender roles of the past. Especially how it seems to be legalised in many places in Europe back in 70s-80s long before gay people become widely accepted. There's nothing "progressive" at all but establishment lies to keep themselves comfortable

I find it hard to sympitize with her. She had two years to realize that she's not a man. She had all the chances in the world to realize that gender shit is retarded. So her problem lies on her. She didn't just cancel that birthright herself, she actively fought for it to be cancelled.

You can not blame the system here. There's have to exist some sort of personal responsibility.

That's stupid of her. Sweden doesn't legally recognize non-binary so it would do jack shit to help her situation.

There is no mechanism to reverse a GRC here. Which kind of makes sense because you don’t want people changing their legal sex back and forth, that would be a gift for criminal and paedo types, but surely the sensible option is just not to ever change someone’s legal sex, just give them some different protections based on trans status/gender expression whatever.

These older laws were written with transsexuals in mind, who were imagined to go through an entire medical transition, then change legal status, then live that way to death, looking so much like the opposite sex that all they needed to never get clocked again was privacy around that document.

This was mostly complete fantasy of course, and the only reason the troons of decades past passed better was because of increased gatekeeping (Genderquacks rejected the ugly men and large men, barring them from treatment) and because the general public didn’t know much about their existence and thus weren’t looking out for them.

Nowadays, dependent on location, some troons can change their legal status without so much as cross dressing, let alone going through a long, gatekept multi-year process. The utter fuckwits on r/transgenderuk are changing their NHS records to say they are the opposite sex when they haven’t even begun transition, let alone gotten to the end of it (not that a ‘full transition’ changes a persons sex anyway).

All governments should just add an extra, optional ‘presents as/pretends to be’ gender box and stop all this fannying about with falsifying sex markers. It’s mad, and in countries with same sex marriage and equal retirement ages, pointless. All it does is affirm delusion and fuck with the categories that work perfectly well as long as you actually use them accurately.

While I have a great deal of sympathy for detransitioners who were groomed into the lifestyle I also think they should take some responsibility for what they've done to themselves. Play stupid games win stupid prizes as they say.

Just identifying one way then going back on it is forgivable, but if you're chopping off your dick to impress retards online you absolutely deserve ridicule even if you detrans later. At the end of the day no one is holding you down and forcing you to take the titty skittles, that was a decision you made for yourself. My attitude towards transgenderism is basically the same as it is toward scientology-- a creepy cultural contagion that has taken over the lives of a lot of idiots, narcissists, and vulnerable people.
