Josh Duggar is in custody in Arkansas federal law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

The reality star was arrested Thursday by federal agents in Washington County, and he's being held in a detention center without bail.

We've obtained Duggar's mug shot, showing the former reality star posing with a bizarre smirk.

As we reported ... back in November 2019, Homeland Security agents were crawling around the car dealership where Duggar works in Arkansas, raiding his office in connection to a federal probe.

Josh's only current legal dispute, as far as we know, is a civil lawsuit filed against him for real estate fraud. It would appear his latest arrest is for something far more severe, though it's unclear exactly why he's been taken in.

My votes for Cheese Pizza.

You should. Southern Baptists are just as bad, if not worse, than the extreme Catholics.
Catholics at least accept evolution as true and don't usually ban their kids from watching/reading shit like Harry Potter or Pokemon. That alone puts them slightly above a good chunk of Southern Baptists.

I was talking with one of my friends who was raised by crazy fundies (the one that went to Pensecola Christian) about the situation. I mentioned Anna probably still won't get a divorce because she's been led to believe getting a divorce as a woman is worse even than child molestation. She told me absolutely, and that in fact the piano player at her old church had to divorce her very abusive husband and the church completely shunned her, and even disbarred her from holding any kind of leadership position in the women's groups. A woman was shunned and ostracized for divorcing her extremely abusive and violent husband.

The school she went to, Pensecola Christian has also had some scandals where students who went to the school admins after being raped were treated like shit and even threatened with discipline for sexual sin. She told me she can easily believe the accusers in those cases, that really is how the admins would handle something like that.

The more extreme versions of the Abrahamic religions tend to resemble each other more that the more moderate versions of the same religion. So it's not surprising the more extreme versions of Christianity would have some pretty Islamic treatment of women and even children, including allowing them to be abused and even blaming them for the abuse.

I was hoping their giant pepsi machine would cause them all to die from pulmonary embolism or something but still. They are an insane cult.

To get an idea of what everyone is talking about regarding that it is worse to get divorced in this cult community than to be married to a pedophile take a look at the Pearl's website: https://nogreaterjoy.org/articles/abusive-husband/ where the following quote can be found: (Duggar's are big Pearl fans, look here for more on that: https://www.reddit.com/r/CountingOn/comments/81dfoa/do_the_duggars_support_the_pearl_method/)

“But if your husband has sexually molested the children, you should approach him with it. If he is truly repentant (not just exposed) and is willing to seek counseling, you may feel comfortable giving him an opportunity to prove himself, as long as you know the children are safe. If there is any thought that they are not safe, or if he is not repentant and willing to seek help, then go to the law and have him arrested. Stick by him, but testify against him in court. Have him do about 10 to 20 years, and by the time he gets out, you will have raised the kids, and you can be waiting for him with open arms of forgiveness and restitution. Will this glorify God? Forever. You ask, “What if he doesn’t repent even then?” Then you will be rewarded in heaven equal to the martyrs, and God will have something to rub in the Devil’s face. God hates divorce — always, forever, regardless, without exception.”

If Anna sticks with him, which she most likely will, she is at best complicit in creating an environment where abuse of her own children can thrive or at worst an accomplice of sorts. Sticking with him, just as marrying him in the first place, shows how she thinks about pedophilia. I would worry just as much for her children while they are in her care regardless of Josh's presence. Regardless of the way she was raised she actively put her own children in danger and should not be absolved.

TLDR; disgusting paragraph from Pearl (Duggar's are big fans) website condoning marriage to pedos over divorce, thoughts on Anna being just as bad

Off topic maybe but didn't Momma Dugger have to get a few surgeries on her lady organs to keep having all these children? What is natural about that? Like, if your body literally cannot handle any more pregnancies, isnt that a sign from God to cool it with the breeding?

She has uterine prolapse from all the pregnancies and births. I have no doubt she is struggling with pelvic floor problems and diastasis recti, where her abs have separated. Osteoporosis and dental problems are also very likely. Babies take calcium from mom's bones and teeth to grow their own. The fact that most of her kids are a little over a year apart means she probably never recouped her lost calcium between pregnancies.

She also probably has varicose veins in her legs and feet problems. Towards then end of pregnancy a hormone (relaxin) is released to relax the pelvis tendons so a baby can pass through the birth canal. It works all over the body causing flat feet. I know people comment on her support hose and orthopedic shoes but they are probably needed so she can move.

I dont think the guy will be smirking when Tyrone and the boys run a nightly train on his ass.
My partner used to work in a state prison and they put pedos into protective custody. So Tyrone and the boys may have to pay off some guards to get a piece of Duggar action. Although that does not prevent him from being beaten to a pulp.

Wasn't this guy already a known pedophile? How the fuck was he allowed to be near any children at all? I can almost guarantee you he was creating child pornography with his own kids. I hope he gets tortured in prison before getting the rope.

There's a lady on another website who lives in Pensacola, and her neighbor is a plumber. He told her that the dorms at Pensacola Christian keep his company very busy, with all the condoms being flushed (GROSS). At least they're using them, I guess.

She is certainly as bad. I don't feel sorry for her at all. If there is a god he's practically beating this stupid cunt over the head with the fact she's made and continues to make massive mistakes. It's like the parable of the drowning guy and the boats except it's kids being molested. Plenty of people have left cults for way less. Wish she would get thrown in jail too.

Yep, and he was allowed near kids because fundies literally believe shit like being gay or getting a nose ring and wearing pants while female or getting a divorce is worse than kiddie diddling. That's why his sister/victim isn't allowed at the house without Jim Bob's permission but Josh was allowed to live in the shed out back with unlimited access to both his own kids and all his younger siblings and nieces/nephews.

If he gets out on bail I highly doubt the Duggars will make good on the requirement that he not be allowed access to kids. I hope if that happens the alphabet bois throw him back in the pokey the second the catch wind of it for violating bail conditions.

I know Thunderdome loves to white knight fundies but shit like this is a great example of why they're fucking terrible and deserve the criticism they get.

Josh is the golden child. He's one of the 3 duggar children that the parents actually raised. I bet if one of the younger sons did his crimes they would throw them under the bus. Poor Joe (maybe 7 years younger than Josh) got his hands tied together days on end for masturbating as a teen. Yet Josh rapes his five year old sister and films chz pizza and his parents throw around some bullshit bible verse like "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us."

Idk, I feel like they still would've tolerated one of their sons being a nonce better than one of their daughters for wearing pants and wanting money she's entitled to. Josh probably is getting extra-special treatment as their golden boy, but people like them are notorious for enabling sex pests amongst their ranks and blaming the victims.

The way they treated the girls after they found out what josh was doing is appalling, they got chided for not "being modest" and told they must've done something to temp him and it was their duty to forgive and pray for him. It's gross as hell but pretty typical behavior for fundies.

Also they treat every sexual sin as equally bad, so something normal and harmless like jerking off gets you the same punishment as raping your baby sisters.

As the lone "Duggar Defender" on this site, I came back to say I really disagree with everything going on. No I'm not trying to redeem myself, and I'm not going to re-read what I wrote earlier because I already know it was stupid. I gave Josh the benefit of a doubt; maybe they had public wifi, maybe it was an accident, maybe it isn't what it seems, etc.

What I found annoying was everyone "online" seemed to know more about the Duggars than me even though I've personally "hung out" with them on a few occasions. In the past, I refused to go to sites like freeginger and duggarssnark as I figured it was just gossip. But curiosity got the best of me and I basically spent all weekend digging through there. Still thinking a lot of what I read was gossip, but then I discovered that Jill and Derrick basically "tell all" on their youtube page and twitter so spent many hours digging through that. I could write a lot about my thoughts on them, but either way, what they said was concerning. And I think the "proof" in what they say is evident in the attitudes and distancing that many of the older kids have now. But still, this did not "greatly anger" me either but I've been talking with my wife about these findings, and she is not sure what to think either.

And then, back to Josh. I can understand why Josh pleaded not guilty to his charges. I mean, pleading not guilty and getting a good lawyer can easily take many years off of your sentence if convicted. But then comes today, and after reading the charges today, the only "Christian" thing he could have done this entire time is admit he has a problem, go pro se (without a lawyer), and tell the judge to do as he sees fit. There is no point in wasting people's time with a defense when he willingly installed covenant eyes and then booted into a linux distro. (Fun story, I emailed covenant eyes when they first went public about a potential contract with me to get their software working under Xorg and wayland on linux but was told those weren't platforms on their radar). Nonetheless, this did not "greatly anger" me either (but I am greatly disappointed).

What did "greatly anger" me was Jim Bob. He went out of his way to convince some out of the loop Asian pastor out in the sticks to take in his son. And for what? So he can go to work? (he don't work) So he can what? There is no point in him being released. This whole time I've been putting my self in their shoes "what would I do", etc and the lines are blurry. But if this was my son my advice would be pro se and "see you in twenty years". There is nothing for a parent to do in this situation. To jump back onto defense, perhaps Josh lied to Jim Bob and he knew nothing of the real charges. But still, if I had made such arangments for my son and then I find out the truth in a virtual Zoom court, I would have unmuted myself and loudly reneged any accommodation.

So yes, I've seen the light. Got some thinking to do. Still not sure if I should be part of some of the "conventions" that the Duggars are guest speakers at. And no I'm not talking about "quiverfull", that is mostly limited to people over the age of 45.

Josh Duggar granted bail, must remain apart from family in ‘worst of the worst’ child porn case

Josh Duggar will be released from jail as he awaits trial in his felony child pornography case.

The scandal-plagued former 19 Kids and Counting star, 33, faced Judge Christy Comstock in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas on Wednesday for a detention hearing. The father of six — appearing from the Washington County Detention Center and wearing his gray-striped jail-issued jumpsuit — was arrested on April 29 on charges of receiving and possessing material depicting the sexual abuse of children and faces up to 20 years in prison for each. He has pleaded not guilty.

While the judge granted Duggar's release, effective Thursday, she said, "I'm just going to remind you how serious these charges are." She noted the evidence against him that was presented was "significant." She said the nature of the crime "concerns the court." She said his past conduct — molesting five young girls, including some of his sisters, when he was a minor teen in 2002 and 2003 —was also of concern.

Comstock also made the point that the ages of some of the children in the pornography are"close to the ages of your children" — he shares six children, ages 11 and under, with pregnant wife Anna — as well as his younger siblings. However, while she said it was a "very close call" when it came to her decision, she was letting him out with many conditions.

Per those conditions, Josh will be in home confinement, but not at his own home, nor a guest house on the property of his parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar. Instead, he'll be staying with friends of his parents — a pastor and his wife. There will be electric monitoring. He's restricted to the residence at all times — except work, church, doctor's appointments, meetings with his lawyer and court appearances. And he must not possess or view pornography of any kind. He is not to use any internet capable device.

The judge did decide he can have "unlimited" visitation with his children — as long as Anna is present at the time. Josh, who lives in Springdale, Ark., is not to see any other minor children, including siblings and nieces and nephews.

As of now, his jury trial is scheduled to begin July 6 with a pre-trial conference on July 1.

Many new details about Josh's arrest emerged during the hearing. Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Gerald Faulkner, who raided Josh's used car lot where the computer was uncovered in November 2019, spoke about the dozens of images depicting nude minors and child sex abuse materials that were found on a hidden hard drive of Josh's work desktop after a forensic investigation.

Faulkner said two files initially triggered the investigation, which was first flagged by a Little Rock, Ark. police investigator in May 2019 and escalated to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). One was a two-plus minute video of two nude, prepubescent girls engaged in sexual activity who were then sexually assaulted by an adult male. The second was a zip file of 65 images of a prepubescent female, between of age 7 and 9, nude and showing her private parts.

Faulkner wouldn't even read the names of the downloaded files, which were graphic and disturbing. He spoke about one series of videos discovered on the computer and said they are known as being “in the top five of the worst of the worst that I’ve ever had to examine.”

Prosecutors claim the illegal images show child pornography involving minors ranging from the age of 12 to as young as toddlers of 18 months.

Faulkner testified that the images were exchanged via a peer-to-peer file sharing called BitTorrent. The forensic investigation also found a program on the desktop called Covenant Eyes, which allows a user to "quit porn" by reporting to an accountability partner — in this case wife Anna — if the user visits porn sites.

To get around triggering a report, Josh allegedly installed a Linux partition, which divided the computer's hard drive into two isolated sections to hide what was being viewed in one of them. He also used a TOR browser to surf the dark web. The way he accessed that part of the computer was by inputting a special password — and the one used was one Josh often used for other accounts, including for personal banking, which included his birth year in the password.

It was also noted the screensaver on the desktop allegedly used to view child porn was a photo of Josh with Anna and their children.

A day before the hearing, Josh's attorneys filed legal documents requesting he be released on bail. They argued that he's known about the investigation since HSI raided his then-business in November 2019, at which time he fully complied with turning over computers and electronic devices. After that, Josh, who has no criminal convictions, made no attempt to flee the area or country. He was actually in touch with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in connection with the investigation, and the government permitted him to voluntarily self-surrender after charges were filed against him last week, "underscoring his commitment to meet these charges and to accept and abide by any conditions of release set by this Court."

Josh's legal team further noted that his reality stardom prevents him from being a flight risk, noting, "Duggar has a widely-recognizable face and has spent the majority of his life in the public spotlight — making any concern that he is a risk of flight all the more unwarranted. As he has demonstrated for the 17 months during which he has been aware of this investigation, there is no danger of Duggar fleeing."

Josh became part of the public eye due to his parents allowing cameras to capture life with their 19 children — all of whose names begin with the letter "J." He went on to marry Anna, starting a large family of their own.

However, in 2015, the TLC show was canceled after reports surfaced he molested five girls, including some of his sisters, prior to the show when he was a teen. No charges were filed against him, but he publicly apologized for having "acted inexcusably." (Josh later sued officials in Arkansas for releasing documents related to his molestation investigation, but the case was dismissed.)

Also in 2015, Josh was named in the Ashley Madison leak and admitted to cheating on Anna while serving as a lobbyist and briefly living in Washington, D.C.

He was also sued in 2019 for real estate fraud and lost that case.

After 19 and Counting was canceled, some family members — minus Josh — have appeared in a spin-off called Counting On. However, there's been estrangement in the family, including Jill Duggar Dillard claiming she wasn't being paid to appear on the show — with her father getting the majority of the money — until she lawyered up. In March, she revealed that she hasn't visited her parents' home in "a couple of years," saying she had to prioritize her "mental health" instead.

He should've never been granted bail. I don't know what they were thinking. He's not gonna stay away from his family. I'd be shocked if he did. Even if he does, there's a good chance of him reoffending with someone else while he's out.

Fucking hell.

Edit: Also, one of the files he had downloaded was titled "DD", and if that's what I think it is, we can officially upgrade Josh from being a pedo to being a snuff-pedo. And considering the witness ranks it in the top five worst pieces of CP he's ever seen, I think it actually is.

This whole time I've been putting my self in their shoes "what would I do", etc and the lines are blurry.
No they aren't. You stated quote clearly:
I played some really heinous acts of "truth or dare" with my cousins at a sleepover at my grandma's before, and briefly tried to spy on my step-sister in the rest room.
If it was my son that was touching my daughter and he admitted it to me, I'm really not sure what I would do. I don't think I'd have a police report made just so some tabloid can get access to it though.
You're a creepy dude and you wouldn't turn in your children if you knew they were creepy.
I gave Josh the benefit of a doubt; maybe they had public wifi, maybe it was an accident, maybe it isn't what it seems, etc.
Sounds like excuse making, to me.
What I found annoying was everyone "online" seemed to know more about the Duggars than me even though I've personally "hung out" with them on a few occasions
So people that you meet socially aren't who they claim to be. Fool.

Also, stop putting things in quotations when you aren't actually quoting something. You're a perv. Pray harder. You seem to be the type of Christian who allows for mortal sin when it's someone they (kind of think they) know. That's not what Jesus taught us about love. Duggar is now Caesar's bitch, and he'd better pay his due.

Like a dog that returns to its vomit
Is a fool who repeats his folly.

Giiiive me the hats.

Hey @dorxter¼, are you still gonna be defending Josh if it turns out he had Daisy's Destruction, a literal toddler snuff film, on his computer?

Just wondering.

Did you completly miss my response? I honestly did not think it would end up this heinous. I figured if it was this bad, he'd man up enough to accept his fate, admit he's screwed up and plead guilty.

Edit: In other words, I thought they'd be smart enough to know that pleading "not guilty" when he clearly is would lead to their complete downfall. There is no defense against this. The only redemption for the parents would be to just walk away and pretend Josh doesn't exist. I'm honestly not sure what they are thinking. They seem to be playing dumb, but that just makes it worse.
