I have to give props to the Louisville PD because I was at the Derby yesterday and for all of the claims and hype that BLM was going to protest and heckle spectators, they kept the riffraff away from Churchill Downs pretty damn well. For those unfamiliar, the airport is right there and they block everything off to make it really easy to pop from the airport over to the Downs and back. It felt like there was a larger presence this year and a lot more officers, always in at least pairs or trios.
Even from where I was it was obvious that there was an increased police presence in the infield (the center of the track where it's a big ass party). Everyone wears brights and pastels so the dark-clothed groups of officers circulating were pretty obvious. What I don't recall from previous years was the presence of what appeared to be National Guard. They were on the roofs of structures and around the outside of the infield, but I didn't see any walking among the crowds. The largest group of them were in, around, and on top of the little bunker near the backstretch, which had a barbed-wire fence around it. There also appeared to be a few decent-sized uniformed groups of what was perhaps Air Force in the infield. I'm guessing they were just groups of underaged dorks that decided to show up in uniform because they can't drink anyway. In keeping with the class of the event no one was visibly armed, which was nice. All of the various security seemed cheerful. Getting paid to hang out on a 75 degree day and supervise the Kentucky Derby is probably the best assignment they'll have all year.
It was also nice that Essential Quality, the favorite to win that is owned by the daughter-imprisoning prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, broke from the gate badly, put in a garbage run, and came in 4th. He earned a mere $100k for his shitbag owner, or rather $50k when you deduct the $25k entrance fee and $25k starting fee. The trainer (Brad Cox) is also a massive faggot, so the schadenfreude was great all around. Essential Quality was sired by Tapit, whose stud fee is $300k. The horse that won, Medina Spirit, was sold for nothing as a weanling ($1000, which is insanely low) and for almost nothing ($35k) when he was 2.

Never, in a million years, did any of these people are consider the idea that they were genuinely correct and living in a dystopia. And when confronted with a clear example that, yes, shit like this can actually happen in our reality, they try to keep the game going by saying "You just violated his rights!" as if the soldiers there would actually stop and discuss it with them before getting into an unmarked van and driving off. The average human being would be absolutely terrified (and doubly so if you understand the past 100 years of history) to see that, but these children are so oblivious to evil that they brush it off as "Yeah buddy, we'll come rescue you later and we'll get ice cream!"

My point was that these idiots saw it as a freedom fighter being unjustly arrested by unmarked soldiers to be taken who-knows-where, yet they don't even know how to react to something genuinely indicative of a police state.
It's not normal for someone to be plucked off the street by soldiers into an unmarked van, and in an actual Fascist country they'd just be shot a few miles away. I'm not saying the guy didn't deserve to be arrested, it's just that I want to point out how insane their reaction is to watching something like this unfold. It shows how totally unprepared they'd be to react to an actual tyrannical state.

Looks like a NAA Pug.
I own a North American Arms revolver myself, not a Pug but the standard .22LR mini-revolver and they're really nice. They carry insanely well which is why people get them (they're also very inexpensive, like $200 apiece in the good times). Very dinky as you'd expect but it's better than the .45 you left at home.
