That is because nothing is happening. The majority of the crowd leaves before the curfew. Even more leave when they see the cops show up. The few that are arrested are retards who refused to move off the street after being repeatedly warned that they would be arrested for not dispersing. The police haven’t deployed any chemicals. Everyone (that I saw) was arrested calmly without incident. There is no interesting protest hook for the media. No one is destroying anything and the police aren’t tear gassing people or making brutal arrests.

The 90% civilians thing sort of bothers me. They're 100% civilians, since terrorists aren't part of a military. And it's not that 90% of the people killed by the drone program are innocent. They're just not the primary target that the strike was signed off on. In other words, they're not important terrorists. They're just the people working with or for important terrorists. Or people eating at the same cafe as important terrorists...

If I remember correctly, the one leading the "lynching" was a retired police officer that lived in the area. Jogger had been stealing shit around the neighborhood for a while but the cops couldn't locate Aubrey (helped he lived 6 miles away), so the police suggested the community touch base with the retired officer with their problem as the force didn't have the manpower or enough grounds to stage a sting on Aubrey. The community did just that and once the retired officer had enough information on who to look for, he made a group to go after Aubrey once spotted in the area. Also, it is legal within Georgia to make a citizens arrest with a firearm, hence why the group had guns.

They just don't have the population to create that critical mass of people who overwhelm the police.

It's not Richmond where there's a strong population of lunatic leftists, or Norfolk / Portsmouth with a population of criminals and incompetent black leadership.

It's a rural area of a few dozen locals and some college students. There's something to be said for those left coast areas that can overwhelm the police with enormous anonymous numbers.

That said, I'm leaning towards the police really fucking up here. The fact that they won't release more than 20 seconds of video to the family much less their lawyers is virtually unheard of. And only 3 of the 7 officers opened fire is another red flag.
