This is some really obsessive dedication to Fire Emblem snuff stories, and that's not a good thing:

Have you ever ran into a fanfic where the idea of it is so absurd, that even after reading it, you don't understand what the fuck is going on? This fic comes to mind for me:

And what's the deal with authors writing grimdark fics that take place in anime/cartooms/movies/TV shows/video games, that are light-hearted in nature?

I think it’s some kinda boner for edgy, pitch-black depressing shit.

I can imagine there's a strange joy to be had in making children's characters say the fuck word and kill one another. I'm admittedly mostly thinking of Meatcanyon's output, but I think it still applies.

To prove this is absolutely true, there's a play called "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead" that is literally just an edgy fanfic of The Peanuts in theater form (well, I think it's mainly a reading, but still). And it's a hit with critics and actually won awards.

Everytime I see an edgy grimdark fanfic on children's media, I think of the old 1990s web 1.0 era copypasta fanfic, known as "Agony in Pink".

For those who aren't familiar with the web 1.0 days (good lord, I feel old), Agony in Pink is basically a torture porn fanfic based off of the 1990's kid's series, "The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers". The fic has Kimberly/The Pink ranger going through so much violent torture reminiscent of the controversial "Guinea Pig" series of movies.

Here is a link to the ED article about it (WARNING: Once read, you can't unread. Read at your own risk):

I could be wrong but if my memory serves me well someone already posted the fic on this thread.

Well. If I can commend the author of this THING for anything, it'd be how they got to the point and didn't pussyfoot about the content.

At best, I think it's a way to explore adult issues in a way that you're comfortable with. Those characters fueled your dreams and joy as a child, and maybe by exploring how they might deal with, say, a breakup or getting fired, you can draw inspiration and strength from them anew and bring them with you as you grow up. At worst, it's a horny thing. Unless it gets worse than that, in which case, I don't think I want to know any more.

At least MeatCanyon does it right.

Oh, P-Pooh, is it o-okay to be horny when being eaten?

Here's some MLP depravity in fanfic form:

And why do some writers refer to their tags for story content as "TRIGGERS"? Not to mention that someone actually commissioned for this story, I do wonder how much those would cost, compared to things like art commissions?
WHY?

And, by the way, how can you have fucking triggers when your smutfic is the My Little Pony equivalent of LOLICON AKA UNDERAGE SMUT.

One hundred ten pages and nobody's mentioned Marrissa Picard. I see we did touch on Artemis's Lover and Rose Potter and the Perfectly Trimmed Triangles, at least.

Every now and then I go relive the glory days when all six of the women in the anime fandom were of the natal variety and we all snickered at lemon fics, and visit Megane 6.7's MST archive. Megane (bless his soul) introduced me to the "Marrissa Stories". Marrissa Picard is pretty tame by today's standards, more of a palate cleanser, though there is one weird fic in the series involving birthday bondage. She's more of an insufferable Sue. By all accounts her creator is a fairly cool guy.

I miss the days when the authors of these awful sagas were actually pretty laid back about people poking fun at their work.
