Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

2D animators with skill still exist, obviously, but have become far more rare... they needed to rehire some of the greats just to manage the scene. It's actually sad.

The ugly "cal-arts sjw" style isn't some new, original, great thing. It's a shortcut to make animation easier. People require lower skill to pull it off and more shows are mass produced. With anime they usually sacrifice animation and frame rate(less art per second) for much more detail on the characters. Western cartoons sacrificed detail for more fluid animation overall. But recently with a lot of new western shows, there is no animation improvement at all.. and the characters are simplistic + ugly. No wonder people are running to anime.

IRYO, but it's not ''cal arts sjw style'' it's just ''cal arts style'' it isn't ugly, a lot of new cartoons are getting good, but not worse, but worse when it has fanart by SJWs.

Most modern cartoons aren't even animated in-house. Apparently paying animators for their work locally is too expensive so instead they throw some peanuts over to Korea or some third-world country with a 'growing, but not quite as good' industry so those studios can gloat about having worked for Nickelodeon/CN/Disney.

You can blame people for the designs, but those still have to pass through higher ups to get approved. I don't know how some shows end up with such unappealing art styles, but for example, character designer for the latest Ben 10 cartoon wanted to go with an anime-esque style like all other incarnations, but executive meddling made them end up with that fugly style. You can still see the anime influence in the colors, though.

They don't, binder is perfectly acceptable virtue signaling visual tool as well.

Reason why I think these two are the trans signs is that they technically fulfill "show dont tell". They aren't just saying these are trans characters, that would be problematic, it just so happens that these are trans characters and just happen to be in situations where scars show up.

I might be very minority on this, but I don't think the 2 drawings with Frankie in them are that bad. Cheese however? I'm seeing in my fucking nightmares / sleep deprived episodes. :cryblood: Like there is something so fucking w r o n g with him and it makes my skin crawl in the worst way.
