that yarn doesn't actually look that bad. I might buy it and do a "review". Because if they are actually processing it there that's pretty damn impressive. But I'll have to get my hands on it first to see.
What isn't very impressive is the suture kit.

You see children, stitches actually are pretty shitty. I don't know if y'all have had them, but the one thing they really excel at is stopping scarring. They have glue and stuff that's just as good, just as fast, doesn't requires much skill, and can easily be opened back up. Dirty sutures will turn everything into an axe wound.

They're not processing it there, they're driving it half way across the country to be processed by someone else. Other yarn-people have looked at it before, if you look back through this / Kevin Gibes's thread. Previous criticisms off the top of my head: reviews on Etsy saying it had bits of straw and dirt in it, unbelievably shitty dye job on the ones they've dyed (which does seem to be done by themselves), no information about knitting tension, the actual tension of the yarn itself is inconsistent (not just slubbing, some bits spun really tight and others really loose), high purchase price compared to comparable/better-quality looking yarn on Etsy.
Would still be interested in an irl review, though, as it's hard to gauge quality from photos/reviews - I was thinking of doing the same thing. I've only hesitated because we think they read the thread, and I'm concerned they could link any purchase I made with a review post on here, given they don't seem to sell very much of the stuff lmao.

Found this thread while looking up deathpigeon as he was a big source of funnies a few years back and I wanted to see what had come of him.
He's deleted all of his old tweets and they're not archived, so I have absolutely no evidence of this, but he used to openly post about his snuff fetish and desire to taste human flesh between links to his laser hair removal gofundme.
Generally just a scary, fucked up up person. Everyone at this ranch should be sleeping with one eye open.

Honestly it doesn’t look that bad. The dye jobs look terrible because it doesn’t look like they used proper mordant or very weak natural colors. The fiber is expensive but not that expensive for pure alpaca.
I know we aren’t here to talk about yarn though.

I suspect Christina is not in prison but is in that transitional centre, and 2023 is when some sort of more restrictive "half parole" condition ends. This is partially to do with suing the prison for HRT (was granted it, then denied, then was offered stuff in exchange for dropping the lawsuit) and generally causing a lot of legal issues for the prison by reading up on laws and getting involved in every other prisoner's case. So a "fuck off and go live in the halfway house so you'll stop hassling us" type situations.
Anyway the main reason I doubt Christina will be moving to the ranch, besides the 2023 thing, is because those Atlanta pageant queens are hard as nails. The pageant scene basically runs on drag houses/family that run similarly to the tranch - a loose collection of trans women who generally live and work together in a coalition.

Christina considers herself transsexual and doesn't understand someone who calls themselves trans and doesn't have surgery (and especially fucks someone with their dick), and there's only two genders, and considers someone who just gets their face/ass/titties done is just doing it because they're just a man looking to get some booty through surgery. So a bit oldschool compared to many cows on here, but this is very much more in line with trans women who aren't white.

Gonna be honest, not sure why you're taking the word of a convicted child sex trafficker on anything, especially regarding his "transition" since, you know, trans lie about that shit literally all the time. This whole-ass man was prostituting a child while addicting them to drugs and forcing them to sleep in a closet, in case anyone's forgotten whose pronouns you're "respecting".

Simply put, it makes more sense that Christina is in that halfway house over shooting all this flagrantly in the open in prison. Explains the non-uniform clothes, the doors that don't look like cell doors, the unfettered access to social media etc. etc. There was a reference to a lawsuit in the frontpaged post as well, along with a (denied) name change petition that then was actually mysteriously granted at a later date.
Before we found details of all the details of sex crimes people were incredulous that Christina was actually in prison because simply put, the online activity and footage just didn't look like someone in prison.
Specifically there's mention of Columbus Georgia so it's likely this transitional centre hosted by Rutlidge state prison. It's basically a minimum security prison for people on work release/day release programs. And if given a 14 year sentence in 2009 (or including "time served" from 2009) that would tally to getting out in 2023. But AFAIK living in a transitional centre on day release for work would still count towards that.
Christina also looks to be mixed race (and mixed race Americans often seem to just class themselves as black, even if they're passed "high yalla"). The Twitter is filled with a lot of BLM etc references and when the hair's not straightened it's clearly more like afro hair in texture.
For reference I'm not believing any of the stuff about being a poor widdle sex worker, this is 100% a predator and child trafficker (and one article mentioned a dropped charge on "oral sex on a male under the age of 16").

That's quite normal. Alpaca has a lot of great qualities but a lot of bad ones.
Alpaca has very bad problems with felting, and can be a bitch to dye. They offer 100% alpaca too, but you need to be able to take care of it and that's something that most people aren't willing to do.
High quality alpaca will need to be woven and "shaved", as otherwise it will become large rough clumps. You can pick out those clumps but it becomes lightweight and very fragile feeling, as those clumps pulled out and broke longer fibers.
My preferred alpaca blend is about 60% alpaca 40% silk and runs for about 50 bucks a hank properly dyed. Dyes are usually specialized, tend to be base dyes, and run very "heavy", meaning it needs a large amount than you would normally think, as the fibers themselves tend to be a light brown on average.
So mixing the wool with the alpaca gives them an approximation of alpaca without being a giant pain in the ass. It also allows you to dye it with most commercial dyes, without worrying about anything.
