So all of this boils down to Misty jellus.
Misty is still pissed off to this very minute that her parents didn't tolerate her beating on her minor-aged sister (with a weapon, by her own admission), back when she and LaMonte showed up on their doorstep on the run from Colorado DCFS with the neglected infant Tricia. Misty was aghast when she experienced a consequence for her actions. Misty didn't feel it was fair that her teenage sister should be allowed to live at home, but not her violent self. Not when she'd just just gotten kicked out of the Air Force, got caught by DCFS for the first time, and was expected to manage her own life like an adult. It just wasn't fair that she couldn't continue to abuse and manipulate her family like she was accustomed to!
Thus, over the years, Misty twisted the story in her mind. No, it wasn't she who beat Heather - it was the other way around! How could Misty have wielded a bat at her sister? Not when she was... uh... folding laundry? Yeah, that's it! And holding Tricia! Yeah, she was folding laundry, and uh, holding Tricia, that's right, and then, BAM! Outta nowhere! Heather pounced on her - and the baby, too! And it was all Misty could do to defend herself!
To anyone with a lick of sense, Misty's story is laughable. And the fact that their parents united in kicking Misty, her infant daughter, and Lamonte to the curb after this incident backs up how ludicrous Misty's version of events is. It would be very, very hard to eject one's tiny grandchild out into the cold along with her parents, and the only thing that makes it possible is that Misty must have done something absolutely beyond the pale to their child still at home.
And look to where Misty lays the blame: on her parents, who are the ones who made the decision to kick her out? And enforced it? Nope! All blame onto her sister, who was the same age then as Aurora is now.
Misty, you are transparent as glass.
