Oh boy. OH BOY. Oh boy have I got a lot to add to this. [Get ready for a retarded wall of text everyone]There has been some major drama and infighting going on in the fandom throughout yesterday and today involving Technoblade. I've only passively been following it so forgive me if I am missing stuff but from my understanding this is what has been going on:
// TW Stan Degeneracy
Stans were becoming increasingly agitated that Techno had not addressed the call out post that was made against him last week when a bunch of them (specifically sbi) were getting cancelled. (archive). This then lead to them getting # kickdave trending (Dave being Technoblade's name). This obviously divided many stans as using Techno's real name is a big no no. But some stans were adamant that he needed to address his edgy jokes so then they decided to take it upon themselves to form Coraltwt which is apparently just SBI without Techno (so Wilbur, Tommy, and Philza). This then further divided stans.
An Unexpected Repercussion
Since so many stans were upset some decided they would be better off just leaving twitter all together. They still wanted to be apart of the fandom though so some decided it would be a good idea to migrate to the OG snowflake shitshow site known as '*~*Tumblr*~* `

The mcyt tumblr community was actually really welcoming to these "twitter refugees" and it was surprising to see how self aware andlowkey kind basedtheir takes were.

1524 notes is pretty good considering this was just posted today.

"there are a lot of people parts of minorities that just want to exist" wow what a revelation! Who would have thought reducing people to their skin color, sex, religion, ect. and then using them as a prop to get youtubers to pay attention to to their fans would make said people uncomfortable?

This one is great because it specifically says that they don't want any interaction with youtubers and that they think it's weird how twitter stans overshare their lives for potentially thousands of people to see.

Some were (rightfully) skeptical of the new additions to their community:

Did the death of tumblr really make the site better? Maybe a little, but that's like saying falling down three flights of stairs is better than falling down four. Tumblr is still full of deranged people.

There was this one blog that was actively answering various questions/helping out twitter stans figure out tumblr do & dont's and it sorta turned into twitter stan vent session :

Those stans sound like they'd fit in here.
I archived a bunch of these Q&A pages so if anyone wants to read though it you can: 1/ 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8
And last, but certainly not least:

"I can say that I love kittens, even if I've not personally interacted with every kitten. I've interacted with enough to know that I have a lot of care and affection for all them. If I'm told about a kitten being hurt or going through something rough, my heart can hurt....you are like a whole bunch of kittens and I LOVE YOU"
If anybody wants to know how this whole thing started, people are claiming it was from an anti account's thread. It is unarchived and deleted, unfortunately [couldn't get to it in time].
However, this [thank God I managed to archive this] is what really started the wildfire. This is from a large [now former] Technoblade stan account. They incited their 20k+ Twitter followers to all mass @ Techno the link. Then proceeded to try [and fail] to brigade the r/Technoblade subreddit | Removeddit archive, this was the best I could do [might sound autistic here, but this subreddit has some pretty based individuals]. This comment | A explains the other happenings pretty well.
Then Techno proceeded to make the oh so grievous attack against them by livestreaming and not giving any of the Twitter stans attention [he even mentioned his internet was out goddammit you dumbfucks] and they all went fucking ballistic [there was a Twitter thread laughing at them, can't find it now unfortunately]. This was so obviously performative and a ballad for attention. It was very telling that they were complaining about the fact that Techno was not as accessible to them as people like Dream or Ranboo or Tommy more than the actual thing he did.
I wasn't too surprised by this personally, aside from Techno not having access to the internet, he barely acknowledges his stans [keep this in mind for later].
Few days pass, things are going pretty well, until Technoblade joins OriginSMP, still not acknowledging Twitter. At this point Twitter's fed up. They trend #kickdave and #kicktechno [like Slider mentioned] because they're that upset that he joined a server with his friends and still didn't address what happened [honestly he probably left Twitter kek]. At this point, a lot of Sleepytwt stans either stay with Techno or ditch him for Coraltwt [either made because they wanted to spite him or because they didn't want to be associated with him anymore, basically the Sleepyboys without Techno].

Now why am I lagging on about this? Well, lemmie tell ya, it wasn't like this before. Pre-DreamSMP, Techno got called out for making slavery jokes by an anime Twitter account, literally nobody gave a fuck and the ones who did saw right through the bullshit and just laughed at them. So why the sudden change of heart?
Well...
Maybe I'm being retarded and tinfoil-y, but fuck it, that's pretty much what this thread is anyways.
As we can see from the video, Dream apologizes for this slight mistake. Now since Dream is easily the biggest Minecraft YouTuber, this sets precedents:
1. These callout posts are a good way to get attention from your favorite creators [sometimes even positive attention]
2. You, no matter how small the action actually is, are completely entitled to an apology when a content creator does so much as mildly offend you.
3. Content creators should be accessible like this and should interact and acknowledge their stanbase
I'm certain this is at least somewhat true because I saw this shift in thinking in real time. During the SMPLive Twitter fanbase, the creators straight up denounced stanning and cancel bullshit, and it was quite tame [at least compared to most of Twitter]. Now that DreamSMP [well, more like when Dream] happened, I see so many more cancel threads, so many burner accounts being downright psychopaths, and the stans being so much more obsessive. A lot of Minecraft YouTubers are acting a lot more "Dream-like" now [like Tommy], meaning Dream's behavior is more normalized.
Ever noticed the YouTubers being cancelled act differently from Dream when it comes to their stanbase? Jschlatt's an obvious example, but let's look at Techno here, I mentioned before that he barely interacts with his stans, while Dream interacts much more frequently. Here's what I'm getting at: the stans want pretty much all Minecraft YouTubers to be Dream/act like how Dream does around them [at least on Twitter]. Why? It gives them validation [and that flood of dopamine]. Just take a peak at what happens when Dream responds, the stans freak out, they feel validated, like Dream is there for them.
However, when someone doesn't respond, their calls for attention get increasingly more erratic and loud, until they ultimately just ditch the creator when/if they don't respond. This could possiblly explain why it's always the big accounts that seem to be the most toxic ones of them all, since they have a large amount of followers, they feel more entitled to get attention from their favorite YouTuber.
Perhaps this is a subconscious thing or they're really just that unselfaware, either way, they tend to justify it with "we're just holding them accountable." Regardless, I don't really wanna be armchair psychologist so take this with a grain of salt, just wanna use Kiwi what Kiwi is for, gossip and discussion.

I find it really funny how Twitter only listens to minorities when they agree with their shitty agenda. "Accepting and diverse" "don't speak over minorities" my fucking arse.
If I find any of the links that I mentioned, but couldn't find, I'll update this post, if you happen to find any of them feel free to add on.
