The defense will only have 4 days to present their case? That seems a bit low compared to two weeks+ one day for the State.

Cop for 5 years

"So you've been trained in restraint and handcuffing techniques?"

"Um.... Well.... I.... I suppose."

Jesus Christ what a fucking weasel.

Cop, my fuckin' ass. If he ever did beat work I'd be shocked. Desk jockey or some other equivalent of a military POG. My grandfather would have been embarrassed to work with this slimeball.

Did this jew bastard really think Nelson wasn't going to bring up the article he wrote just four days after GF died? I wouldn't be surprised if he's really that brazen since he's been evasive and hostile with the defense. I assume this guy is considered an "expert", aren't experts supposed to be like, I don't know, unbiased?! Or am I the retard for thinking that.
I cannot believe the prosecution decided to use him as an “expert” considering he had an opinion so soon without sufficient evidence. Again, I’m no law professional at all, but I can’t think of any profession where an expert would have an opinion without having sufficient facts or information. I think in any field that would make you seem like an idiot not to be taken seriously lol

they aren't given set time silly, it's based on the number of witnesses. the pros wheeled out ever black person in the west side of minneapolis to tell how see-aint jaw-juh floyd wuz a heeeeero a' da cahmman peepole an sheit an gawt murdered by dey evil wipipo poo-lease mayun, in addition to all the days of experts and fact checkers telling how the angle of his neck at death meant floyd was, in fact, not a felon fentanyl addict but a soft-hearted gentle giant.

defense has fewer people to call because they just don't need them, its their job to sow doubt, not set up a definitive story of what actually happened

To be fair, I'm willing to bet this is more because Nelson's case is more concentrated and precise than the state's. The state brought in everyone on the street that day and half the police force and half a dozen randos. Nelson's probably going to be focused on bringing in experts and proving the reasonable doubt, which really never needed to take up so much time in the first place. I'm sure the jury will be pleased that at least someone's not trying to waste their time.
The only negative thing this really presents for defense is that the prosecution's 2 weeks of witness brigading is still going to be pretty fresh in their minds, but I think after a weekend break and closing arguments that kind of disadvantage will be more neutralized.

All those people on reddit cheering him on are probably autistic fucks too.
Well posters on KF calling other people autistic fucks is a bit like george floyd calling the kettle black, but yes, assuming the glory before the battle and looking stupid for it have been pretty common in the trial so far. Which is understandable, it's a political trial and everyone knows exactly why it's happening, and that it's only happening because the social pressure to convict chauvin is so smothering.

Personally I don't see the reason to be paranoid about jury bias like people have said, we all saw them being selected and if they told any lies, you can guess what that means for appeals. It's really a question, or seems to be, of if the pros is so comfortable they'll fall asleep at the wheel, and if nelson can slowly and steadily introduce enough doubt to make for a level of reasonable doubt that even slightly biased people would have to accept

Wonder how publicized the courtroom would be if some stupid asshole motherfucker decided it would be a good idea to hurt anyone involved in this case because they didn't like the verdict.

Once the trial is over, Nelson should be charged with manslaughter for this one-sided wreckage.
