That's wrong, it's mostly due to Eastern Europe fucking up, it's not the North American or Japan servers.

Many were able to eventually download patches, but it took multiple times connecting. What tended to work was to use the physical disc and not use a digital download to start the game.

The affected games are only around 30 or so, so the majority of games were not affected by this error.

I never liked their controllers, they were always too big and I don't like the sticks' placement. I don't give a flying fuck about ~haptic feedback~ and the light on the PS4 controller is pure cancer.

I have a PS3/Vita/4 but I won't be getting any more Sony consoles. After the HQ moved to Commiefornia and they started forcing censorship on games I completely lost hope in them. Plus; the games I want are also going to PC now. I just wish they would sell them on physical PC discs.

Too big? Have you ever held a ps3 controller? I tried playing kh2 final mix on that shit and got so frustrated by the shit tier tiny controller I almost snapped it. Their controllers at least up until the ps3 were always small, and in comparison to the xbox controller the ps4 controller isnt exactly big either.

I had to just tape up the light with black electrical tape when I first got a PS4 because my furniture layout at the time meant the fucking thing left a glare on my TV screen no matter where I held it.

Thankfully that's not longer the case and I use a controller without tape now, but still, what a fucking retarded idea it is to think we need a big, glowing light like that.

Why they didn't think it was possible for someone to be holding the controller directly in front of the TV and why they didn't ask the question how someone was supposed to deal with that by not letting you just turn the fucking thing off I have no clue, it's a good controller otherwise but fuck is that a dumb idea.

As I stated in the post you are quoting: I have a PS3, so yes I have held the controller. I hate to tell you this but people can have differently sized hands and that can influence their opinion of a handheld device.

I have something to keep the thread's topic:
The PS4 Pro's fan is ridiculously loud. There's specific spots in any given game that make the fans turn on, and when it happens it can be hard to talk over the console to my friend. I can see how some people's consoles melted. I don't really hate it but it's an annoyance.
 
I hereby announce I never owned Snoy hardware and never will be.

This are my fondly memories about Snoy consoles:
PS1 - If Nintendo and Snoy didn't make agreement about making CD player for Nintendo new console, Snoy would never be in market with their shitty PS1. Why shitty you may ask? First models had shit-tier vents that could rape your hardware and even burn it. The Snoy answer for overheating this disc-spinning-pile-of-shit? Please unplug it when not in use. There were more flaws like moveable parts made of plastic. Great move for kids game console.

PS2 - I remember when it came out and whole thing with this Emotion chip or how it was called. The construction was so convoluted that for emulating this console Snoy had to acquire some shifty company making emulators for PC. To this day, fucking 20 years later the emulation of PS1 and PS2 games on modern consoles is based on old emulator written back in the glory days of Windows 2000.

PS3 - I remember I really really wanted it because of MGS4. Some time later during my university days, my friend brought one and I hated disgusting UI, the controller the noise coming from fan. I played Heavy Rain and my impression was as follows: Well, I would definitely want to watch it but playing it is dull. I kinda liked GTAIV but it is cross platform so doesn't count. I had a chance to play MGS 4 and i regret every second of it.

PS4 - never touched this shit. This is prime example that Snoy doesn't know what they're doing. Rather than keep some compatibility with previous iterations they again changed everything from ground up. Also, fuck'em for using bloated FreeBSD.

PS5 - hahahaha that look! Overheating shit that requires some space-tier liquid metal paste because some Jannie didn't thought about proper ventilation.

You have to run it on each boot, but the installer gives you the option to enable it under the game tab after the first install. Here's a decent guide, just grab the files from the description:

Yeah, that's something I'm worried about. I know the PS store will be closing soon, but I haven't heard anything about the PSN itself being killed off yet. I'm sure the devs are trying to find a way to get around it, but I figure it's better than nothing.
